the chat function would be better if you could let people know
to press F3 because you have typed something... via the emoticons...
or the x button on the controller...

there has been a few occasions where people
have typed stuff that i have missed because i
had no idea they were sending messages and vice a versa...

and what do console players do...

i'd still like to know what console users do....
its bad enough with a keyboard...

i put "F3 talk" on the side of a car... lol and i got one person that did it..

but the guys i crew with sometimes saw it and did nothing..... are they on console...

What I would love is that when an event starts the chat window automatically closes. If I actually want it live during the event it means I'm probably done with the race with time to go on the clock.

I've definitely run into some problems in PvP when racing while waiting for the chat window to at least go dim. I try to hit F3 to close it but in some events you don't get that chance, at least if you use a controller.

would also be good if they made the interface look like part of the game with
either a console appearance or mobile phone or something and a place where
you could type a standard line like... change cars or parts to.. and have point
and click to talk to single players...

ok seems i have the same art attached to my mini as on my ford....

F3 talk/chat is on both sides of my cars...

so if your in game and see my mini or ford focus beep beep
and we can chat about collecting parts and money in the game..

no, console an Pc people do not play together. people just dont use chat.
Ive tried several times. Ive seen One person use it in all my hours, to ask evry1 to race some race. and noone responded. I did, but they didnt after that.

console people ( I also play on xbox), have no F3/chatbox like Pc, u have to use the messaging system where u pause and look them up, type the message, and send it, then they have to pause go to messages and read it. or they use headsets w/mic.

so the pc players are just slack..... lol....
the problem is you get no message to say you have a message also
i have had players type stuff and i never knew it.... but atleast i know
now and can pull out my chat car lol when they are on in the future..

console sounds bad.... but even when you type to people on ubi...
they dont respond either... might have to pull my headset out
and join discord... voice chat would be so much better

Same here , I think I first noticed it’s existence from those in game banner message from the loading screen

Or maybe from option settings
