most important is pure and extrapump, then it's about what vehicle or discipline you drive
in vehicle most perks are useless, most important is muddy, maybe bender for bikes, slip power and drag bump are useless for solo but helpful for multiplayer.
you need hothead and slippery for drift spec, magnificent is for aerobatics spec, extreme mode for planes but not that important, gifted for monster spec, graceful for monster and motocross but useless imo too, skilled is useful for getting more points in all slaloms, buoy smashing and both plane skill tests, perfectionist and gateway is only for air race events
you can always reset points to rearrange it according what are you playing. soon after icon 600 you can max them all
I have not seen much difference between lucky and goldfinder either. I did notice that if you put all your points into lucky, it has a slight increase in chance you get a good part. For example, I had all but one gold part (legendary) on my car and was trying to get one more. I would get 3 out of 7 parts gold. This was pretty consistent. Once I finally got my final gold piece to have all 7 legendary parts, I tested the race again. I got 10 part pieces but maybe only 1 was gold while the rest were 60-70% pink/purple and 20% blue.
It seems that the less you try to "manipulate" your stats into obtaining rarer parts or more parts, the better your chances of getting those parts. So, it's like the system works against you. Don't try to go ham on parts or it's gonna work against you.
