Forza Horizon 3 vs The Crew 2

really want a racing game. I don't care too much about the map size, but I like a good car selection/variety and customization. graphics are not a concern considering both games have decent graphics. I'm also hoping for an active online play. IDK about FH3 but TC2 does not seem to have as many players as I'd thought they'd have (seems like more or less 2000 playing according to community hub)

okay i looked at graphical comparisons between these two games and FH3 is far better in graphics but like I said it really doesn't bother me because I just want to play a nice, open world driving game. I like the thrill of going fast on the highways and the general racing stuff. I played the FH3 demo and since it's a lot more realistic handling, the drifting and turning is a little hard to play with because I'm used to arcade style driving from games like Midnight Club and Need for Speed, however i do like that there is a rewind feature and it helps a lot.

what do you guys think of NFS Payback in comparison to these games

I haven't played the crew 2, but horizon 3 was one of the most competant racing games of this gen, but also one of the most bland, boring games i have played. The graphics look plastic and lifeless and a downgrade from horizon 2, the map is too flat, the progression is all over the place and i unlocked the final showcase event really early in the game (and it wasn't very exciting). Horizon 4 is looking promising with all the new features they are talking about.

the problem for me with horizon 4 is that it comes out in october which I won't have much time to play and plus horizon always has problems at launch for their PC ports, took the devs months to optimize FH3 for PC so I'd probably stay away from FH4 for a while unless they avoid the problems that FH3 had. so far the only new thing I see in FH4 is seasons

I do not have The Crew 2 so I cannot comment but I can comment on FH3, its very active byt why not wait for FH4?

Horizon 4 will be out in less than 90 days. I personally would wait, i like FH3 but FH4 just looks so much better. I also have FM7 and pretty much every racing game I had PC2 but i refunded it because its trash.

I wanted The Crew 2 but just like The Crew 1 i probly will get it eventually and then never play it (like i did with 1) :)

Id just wait, save your money or go take your wife/girlfriedn out for a nice dinner instead of buying this or fh3 right now. Or just preorder FH4 if you can

Base problème of the crew 2.
Play hard difficulty doesn t affect loot power.
Stupid cheated IA same with overpowered car
Some code error, cool during 29minute long race.
pvp decembre, i hope i will get acces without season pass @trollface
Fly/boat = usless, however, it s cool the first 5 minute
4 super car race :X
No pvp.
Usless skill tree take a while to unlock all in solo with this cheated IA on rails.
MMO racing game, but solo features, ah ok :X


The only real cool point from the crew 2 is the drift, totally reworked from the 1, and now, it s cool to play it !


To résume, don t buy the crew 2, exept if you can pass over those negative point, it s a good game, but, looks early acces game. Need a total rework patch and more content for car.

You shouldn't be comparing The Crew 2 to Forza Horizon 3 considering FH3 came out 2 years ago and TC2 just came out, compare it to FH4 when that comes out because thats what it will be competing against.

The last thing you do if you want a racing game, is to look at TC2 or FH3 .
Both games are pro arcade, and settings you can adjust to your liking as much as you want in the car setting as well in the configuration menu.
There is no way any of these games comes even close to realistic real world driving :-)
But it depends what you have the most fun with.
I never have problems finding any players on the map.
Forza has slighty better textures , wich is normal ofcourse since it hundrreds of times smaller than TC2.
But overall, the cites are much more beautifull in TC2 then in FH3, especially at night time, the atmosphere looks much better in TC2.
I also like the much much more bigger TC2 world.
It is always a personal choice for any player, and that always will be.
I choose TC2 since there are cars boat n planes and the massive open world to explore.
Racing from east to west cost at least 30 mins+ in TC2.
While in FH3 you only have cars and the map is so small that it is no secret you,l drive the same roads, thousends and thousands of times.
That small world quickly gets boring, and you,l drive them over and over again and again.
Also i takes only about 10 mins to drive the big round around the whole island.
So for me there,s absolutly nothing what atracts me to FH3.
For me it,s just so damn boring.And i owned all Forza, s up to 5 and FH's till FH3.
So unless they make a much bigger map, i,ll never going to return to that mostly boring game ever again.
But as a said, tastes differ for every gamers, will be always like that.

It's funny because i swear playing FH3 feel's like a 2017/2018 game i play the Crew 2 feels about 5 years old i have a pretty damm good PC i'm a Sim racer.So i like my Racing game's
Handling in TC2 is much betetr than Crew 1 and FH3 to TC2 well there sorta the same just not much wheel spin.
If you want to feel postive have good races against Ai and other players with great community content FH3 if you want the Crew USA simlator in Early Accses by all means buy crew 2

FH is hardly an open world, it,s so small you can dream al the roads in a single day. So calling it an open world may have been pre TC period, but these days it,s more sandbox.
Bu tif you want realistic racing, then forget about FH and TC2, silly to compare both since there are much more real racing games around like iRacing , Asseto Corsa, and more. Dirving in the FH series at 200kmh feels more like driving 80-100 km,s. Other racing games blows TC2 and FH out of the water for sure.
But talking about open world, then TC2 is the nr.1 for sure. Graphics and atmosphere are best. Exept for some small little details FH only has.
Take a look at SF, NY, and Miami for example, the FH series does not even come close to those ciry seizes or graphics.
FH cities are ghost towns, you don,t even see people walking around as well as outside the city.
So FH is more like a big racing track, sandbox like.
