The Crew 2 is more focused on official legal races, there are a very slim storyline in it, but very slim and nothing related to 5-10. I did like the story in the first one, but the second one didn't bother me too much, I also enjoyed that I got to be myself in here rather than Alex.
Then again I'm curious of what DLCs they'll add in future, since in The Crew 1 the DLCs were wildly different from what we would expect from the game. Such as the Wild Run and Calling all Units totally added new gamemodes.
Other than that we haven't seen or heard anything related to the first game. I'm personally hoping Alex shows up in a future update to the game.
It pained me to hear what's his name talk about "going legit" as the whole 5-10 thing added so much meat and drama to TC1.
TC2 has its shortcomings, especially compared to TC1, but TC1 I started after it had the two expansions so I dunno how lacking it was at first. I have faith they'll improve TC2. It's a decent start, but the game definitely needs a lot more character to stick around. Hopefully the seasonal DLCs will add more story and variety of races and not just vehicle types. The game really lacks the spontaneous excitement of the jump in crate chases from TC1 too. Hope they add something similar even if it doesn't hvae a 5-10 feel.
