Tips: Make sure you are throttling the accelerator during the red lights countdown (even if it does nothing ingame to help you get the perfect start its does help to have you mentally prepared to time it properly on the green light.)
Yes my starting is good, everything green and perfect, my car is just too weak, dunno what to do next
I was falling short on the Bellflower race though my car level was above the recommended level. But it is just a recommendation. Plus most of my higher scoring parts were for suspension or tires or something, not really bosting my engine power.
I went back and redid some of the earler drag races to farm for parts, did some of the speed traps to get loot (easy win with a drag spec), and made sure to switch to my drag car whenever I found the random loot crates, then redid Bellflower without a problem.

Here's some fun fact for drag event:
1. burnout actually doesnt do anything and doesn't affects grip( just try it with no burn, full burn, perfect burn.)
2. the true shifting point is around 1 bar below the "perfect" shifting point, just compare the time yourself.
3. boost good, usually do it at last gear and all, but a set of Nitro Chemist matters more.
Perfect shift at least 3-4 times and should be good.
I have for my tips and tricks and need things to do it right now.
1. Keep grinding on ace mode until you get lucky a yellow part with a nitro icon. and make try to open the live reward by using the drag car. (or wait for during boost crate event)
2. You must be applied a yellow part with The Nitro chemist Bonus for all same 7 parts to active.
Don't reroll the under 400. Because it's really expensive to spending more scraps
3. Reroll the affixes and set as Pure and Frenetic. Which is really beat easily time on ace mode.
4. You can earn the nitro chemist fully upgraded+affixes when you finish the summit in a rank. (Gold and Platinum Mostly) but it's really hard on PC,PS4.
Yeah, I found the same in terms of shifting.
Re-roll your parts to max out Pure and Frentic. Aim to eventually get a full NC set with both maxxed out. After that you need nothing else.
Is muddy available for drag cars? I think a NC muddy set would be useful for certain escapes if you compete in Summits.
