So far, people would form a crew, join a solo event, have all the crew accept and basically race each other that way

Speudo pvp only. In my discord we just set a waypoint and then we all line up then burn out and go. Thats probably the best players can do until the pvp update.

Question is, why is Steam allowing Ubisoft to promote this game on their platform as an "MMO and Online-Multiplayer game" while it is neither of those? This simply is false advertisement, and it really annoys me how Steam has no regulation whatsoever on what developers put in their product page.

Yes this true. I think the false edvertising is right in the title of the game ittself. Its not "the crew 2" it dose not have all best features of the first game. Its just weird off shoot. They should call it somthing else instead of the crew 2. How about "buggy traffic and twitter follower simulator 2018"

This is Ubisoft all the features from the 1st game they will sell to you through DLC and expansions. That's how the big companies work for a while now strip a game down till it's barebones and sell what should have been in the game at launch to the players.
