The Crew 2
https://ibb.co/h0tMcd
The Crew 2 looks much better, are you sure you are using ultra settings?
I'm talking about the distinct differences I highlighted in my video, which a higher resolution wouldn't fix.
Unless you're under the impression a higher resolution adds in better shaders, textures, lighting, and object density.
Yes... I'm sure i'm using "ultra" settings. Did you actually look at the scenes I showed here at Ultra?
Your screenshots don't even show the same thing. The Crew 2 looks much better in yours screenshot when you throw in those puddles and reflective surfaces. Crew 1 looks better in those cases but you didn't show that.
Both shots are using the same weather effects at the exact same time and location.
Textures, anti-aliasing, lighting and draw distance are better.
You took screenshots using "similar" lighting conditions. The weather doesn't match up because in "The Crew 2" you took the screenshot after a storm finished and the puddles are still there. You didn't show that in the Crew 1.
Crew 1 has far more Anti-Aliasing options. Crew 2 only features FXAA. Anti-Aliasing by definition is WORSE in Crew 2.
Textures go both ways. Sometimes they look better, sometimes worse. See the video for actual examples.
Lighting absolutely does not look better. Just look at a "Night-Time" scene in the Crew 2. There's almost NO global illumination.
Draw distances are sadly about the same. Pop-in isn't as bad, and texture streaming is improved. But I never had a problem with either of them.
Even with the puddles, you can see the lighting and anti-aliasing is better.
The Crew requires MSAA and TXAA to fix the jagged edges. It could be because I play at 2560x1440 but The Crew 2 definitely looks better overall.
Lmao what? Thats not how AA works.
And both games can be played at 1440p

I play both games at 1440p and even with MSAA X4 enabled, The Crew 1 is less sharp.
Character models, road textures and draw distance could be improved though. It is only a beta at the moment and not the final game, they will improve the graphics.
Seems like a glitch.
Here is the draw distance on my game at ultra:

Um.... that doesn't look much better. A lot of those buildings are flat polygons lol. You're trying really hard to make this game look better than it actually does. It's a fun game, me and my buddy were just having a blast. But it's not really that great looking.
The game comes out this month... I'd be careful assuming Ubisoft is going to completely overhaul the graphics here..
