Part grinding - Biggest drawback of this game

It's fine when u bought a new new vehicle, play and earn new parts which have higher level, better performance, but when u go higher, the more chance u received parts which have lower level than the one you already have. And when u nearly max out ur vehicle, like 80% chance u'll received part that the same or even worse than yours, making the goal to max level of your vehicle even further.

I see this's the cheap way the dev force u to spend time grinding the game, but why? We already spend money to buy this game, and there lot of activities in this game. Force players to grinding can make players getting bored and even quit game faster. Also many people have another things to do, not just play The Crew. Cmon dev! There many way to attract player to spend more time playing (ex: "Live Summit", you great job), not just this "Grinding feature" .
Seriously, this game has potential, but this make the game kiling itself. And for a long time the dev didn't even consider about this.

calibrate your search parts to improve the pickup. you only essentially need one set of golds on each category, then spend around 5 million bucks to hammer out higher numbers. yes you will need to do a lot of races, but if you want to play any racing game you will need to learn the tracks irrespective. that isn't a grind, its just learning what you need to learn. don't expect everything to come easy, as it would be a bad game of which YOU would get bored of in a few days, if it were that easy.

Grinding for whatever isnt to play a game. To play a game is well, playing it. Not repeating the same freaking thing over and over again.

Yea it does get a bit repetitive, more so when you buy a new car and all you get is green crap for it.

Well, not only is it boring, but the loot system is kinda broken too. I've created a post here to start a discussion about legendary drop rates and counted how many days till I got the part I wanted. It took me 15 days. Farming an entire month for two pieces for a single car in a single spec is just TOO MUCH. We need a new loot system.

Allocated all points (65 so far) into loot drop quality.
I do a Monster Truck event with three digit parts fitted on the truck i race with.
I get a low tier drop, a few levels under me with no affix stats.
ok
does the same race 6 times.
Only gets one part thats better but still no affix stats.

Use a car that boosts loot drop quality ON TOP OF my 65 points in driver loot drop quality, still gets ♥♥♥♥♥ parts.

Come back with that attitude when you have all your points into loot drop quality. You'd be minged too if you see you have a 50%+ chance to get good gear but dont.

Finally last week I managed to gain the final Fame Magnet I needed for a full set for HC. Only took weeks. Ugh.

Getting sick of Loot Boxes in that they are

a.) so much rarer

and

b.) they hold fewer parts and they tend frequently to be blue or even green. this is even with a full set of Live reward sniffer legendary parts.

Oh, and that's with icon points giving me a 60 Luck bonus and a 40 Goldfinder bonus.

It's so annoying. It's gotten to the point that I don't even want to look for Live Reward boxes but I keep getting contracts telling me to go open three Live Reward Boxes so off I go wasting my time for that stinking 2500 CC pay off.

I know in the month before the launch of the summit both frequency of them and the amount of parts and their levels were boosted and that has now ended. However, prior to that one month period, the LR Loot Boxes were so much more plentiful and valuable than they are now.

They should revert the Live crates like they were before the summit, and COMPLETELY REMOVE green and blue crates, they are useless.
I bought the game one month before the release of the summit, so the crates were perfect. It was my favorite thing to do, but now its pretty much pointless. I know 90% of the time it will be a a blue crate and 5% a green crate, that made me hate Live Reward hunting.
It should have a 70% chance of being a purple crate, 29% legendary crate and add a new Vanity crate for the remaining 1%.

Some people suggest calibrate part or spend point to increase loot drop rate or loot quality, still the problem is it just increase a very .... very small amount of %, not much help at all, for that u must spend hundreds .... hundreds of point to hope for a chance.

Well, with Icon Points I've way, way upped both my Lucky and Goldfinder traits and it's not seeming to make any bloody difference which is so frustrating.

Wish that when it comes to Loot Crates at least that they ditch the green and blues. Give us purples and some golds. And, of course, it's nice getting some visual parts even though they make no difference in the game. But the options are nice to have to make ones ride a bit unique or personal ya know?

just swap the parts from another vehicle in the same category. you only need one set.

^^ by now most players should only need gold parts, i hate keep scrapping.

i cant believe i had all golds on nearly all the cars thinking i would need to scrap them for parts. turns out i just needed many millions of bucks. if i had known that i would't have bought all those useless cars.
