Is gold edition worth it? or any edition worth it?

I was thinking of buying this game but some people say itts dying and other complain about the handleing(I am used to it from the crew 1) and if I was to buy gold. what wold it get me?

just bought which one you think affordable.. as for me TC1 handling is the most sucks and it graphic is not accepted by my mind.. TC2 is an improvement to TC1 , who tells you it is dying? i saw every weeks leaderboard got more over than 15,000 Players is playing the games.. it is totally hard to climb up over Top 3000 even max out my car.. so its meant there is over 3000-5000 active players, "daily!"

Drugs is bad you know... where did you see 3000 - 5000 active players in this game? i only see 2400 right now ... its far away from 5000 .

seriously it is bad? i think it was extremely a great brain booster..hahaha.. you did not play the games so you will never know.. read carefully, i said.. in the leaderboard, also in the leaderboard, in the summit event, where you can see your rank is drop down how much if you just online for spectate..

For example, in current Live Summit event, which is weekly, there are about 18k participants, but that's counting those few who entered just to get the 150k followers reward...
Though gold tier seems quite unreachable for me as a new person yet... so those who inhabit gold tier are pretty active...
Seems like most of the playerbase that is in this game rn is mostly ppl who have played a lot...

I can't even get 60k in most events plus I can't participate in three of them due to insufficient money for cars soo... That's a rip for me... I'll just try to hold on to silver
This is my first event and I am only at icon 5

You can always ask other players to Crew with you. If their Icon Level is up there a bit they most likely have all the needed vehicles. If someone in your Crew has the needed vehicle you can run the event with a loaned car.

Silver though still gives you that big bunch of followers which is nice.

I haven't fired up the game yet today but I'm probably still safely in gold. Not sure if I'll manage Platinum or not. The competition, with a nice car as the biggest prize, is pretty fierce this week.

Then again, I've been finding it rewarding to just fly around the map looking for Live Reward Boxes.

I learned the hard way that if you buy the cheapest ubi game without any DLC it's a constant grind which you can't complete on 100%. Thoe, the crew 2 seems to be not like that,
