Are tri attack necessary or useful ?
Long time ago I did play the game until some sort of yeti monster and at the time (shame on me) I did not udenrstand the concept of tri atatck and never finished the tutotirla.

I finally did :). But I fail to udenrstand the usefulness. I lose 3 shards and I can get to atatck together... I may see maybe on some boss see a usefullness, you attack from all side so kill all those shield they have and *maybe* regain part of your shard. But still that put you much nearer to critical.

So my question for those who are further in the game is : are tri attack REALLY useful ? Do I miss something ? And are they ever necessary ?

their main advantage is filling up your hero gauge, since you basically get multiple hero actions for one bezel. You also regenerate scratch damage during tri-attacks, so if one character is low on health, do a tri-attack.

Be sure to jump when shooting with the machinegun, because you will hit all limbs that way and can get you a lot of bezels back, when destroying all the limbs with a handgun

it's useful if enemies are inside the triangular shape, if not you mostly miss out
i didn't use tri attack much, it's a hassle to set up thing properly

No, not really. It is a hassle to set up. I find better positioning and targeting priority enemies more useful.

I found tri attacks useful early on, to kill enemies off quickly.
However, that changes as enemies gain way more health and the game forces you to work with breaking and knockdowns.

I use them in practically every battle I can when there is a clear area without obstructions. It makes battles go a lot quicker, as with just two resonance points you can both scratch and cash in a huge amount of damage with a single bezel.

It lets you do three attacks with only one bezel. I like using it, under the right situations.

If you rack up 3 or 4 resonance points you can do a lot of damage and kill probably most if not all enemies in most battles in one go. Helps a lot in reducing possible threats.

Also the biggest advantage of triggering a tri-attack (Preffered one with atleast 2 to 3 resonance or more if you can) is that the enemy can't interrupt you.

Same, I like that its bascally a 3 for 1 deal. I suggest ALWAYS jumping when using a smg, to spread that scratch damage, its fun when you explode it and watch the enemy bust apart, especally those creepy robots later.

If you want to go for pure damage and its shields are already done its better to run for a chance of getting bonus shot.
(when using a SMG)
