I should have left a bad review...

I'm not sure what the devs were smoking when they set the game like this, but they need to add a feature that basically says "This is the 50th time I had to start over... skip this mission, let me get the tech and let me play the next one"... other games call this "story mode"... A game should be fun, it shouldn't piss someone off just trying to chill on a day off...

I must have a life or something.... "you don't know how to play" is code for "I'm too lazy to address the issue...." which is the casual gamer gets ZERO enjoyment out of this game.... funny the money I spent on it still spends....

Yah its kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ even on easy mode.

The worst part when you cleaned map and still need 800 settlers when 350 were fine.

Why don't you whiners just switch to another game? Game is too hard, no save and reload mechanic, have to start campaign anew and so on, for years now. If you would do a 5 minutes research before buying the game, you would already know, that this game just might not be your cup of coffee. Stop blaming the devs, blame yourself instead. This game is meant to be the way it is. Just shut up and leave.

you might wanna look into save scumming (making your on manual back ups) so to not waste so much time. Me too enjoyed it more that way.
And please ignore the trolls. They aren't worth the time :)

Not a Troll, but I'm just sick of all the complaints. Just read the descreption, read/watch a review of the game. 9/10 of all treads are about how the game sucks bc it's hard. Just be an adult. Read/watch, understand, react ( buy / don't buy ). This is a game for adults. Act like an adult or switch to AOE IV.

Hi guys,

The game has more than 33ks reviews where you can read with not many problems how the game works and what are its main features. Also you have a big, big, big amount of videos on Youtube to check how the game goess.

Being said this, the game offers the possibility of enjoy a lot if you have the enough patience to beat the difficulty curve that, maybe can be big, but at the end it's very rewarding. Sometimes you have to be focused on the trip intead of the end and if you do that, you will enjoy every step until you get the desired end... and you will feel so great.

Can the game be improved even more that it has been? For sure and we will learn for our future projects but we have been honest with the product we have delivered and the product is honest with the buyer if this know what is buying.

The problem seems to be that a casual gamer is complaining about a non casual game being non casual... Seems pretty self explanatory.

I am a casual gamer, I enjoy this game you know you can adjust difficulty throughout the campaign? Personally I think the difficulty is fine only issue I have in campaign which is more annoyance then a challenge is constantly re researching the same tech while in campaign.

I have to admit... I do appreciate your response... but I am disappointed... I love building games and I love the tech tree and the balance between commando missions and the base missions. I do not like having to waste time with multiple attempts just to continue the story. I could have saved my money and watched other players do it for free. Very disappointed... apparently the only way to progress when you are stuck, given there is no "Sorry we made it too hard, spend some Empire score points to proceed on the map or buff your characters to make it achievable" option.... but I guess I have to find some cheat mod out there so i can achieve what I want from a game I paid for and HOPE I don't open myself to malware.... It really is an attitude failure from the ones who set it up like this.... Sorry you all expected the only players to be interested in your product to have absolutely zero life with nothing else to do. This reminds me of an issue in Railway Empire where an 85 year old posted something similar. He just wanted to enjoy playing with trains in the game and they made it too hard... maybe telling an 85 year old "well you just suck, get better" is the attitude the devs have....

Jesus Christ, i honestly should give a negative review for the missing "speed up" button... At least for the campaign...

Right now im sitting in a sweet 8k slow zombie attack mission... sigh... Almost halfway through...

Before that i basically finished a mission on day ~35 but had to wait for the wave till 48 lewl - i took a shower, made laundry and changed my bed in the meantime... ^^

play at 800% and without pauses, then you don't have to wait
