Start completely new game.
This is drm issue (and/or anticheat too). Happen cause of mismatch game version or profile save version (main save file created with first game launch). too much outdated saves folder or folder from differ versions can conflict with each other.
Not sure if there is drm related issues if you combine versions.
GOG (offline) have own critical bug. Didnt work without Galaxy service. Last mission crash at the end. Require GOG Galaxy and Galaxy version to start the mission.
Probably some combining will work.
At other side. Your initial issue is not game related at all. Windows block one of the EA services process. Now from most possible to 100% sure.
well its on the publisher/EA to make the executable work with windows, not on the user. numatian should check if the game works with the new ea app, for themselves.
We have checked the game being launched on Origins new app in different pc configs and it's working smoothly.
We are still trying to figure out what is happening with your issue.
there might be an EA app cloud storage error preventing game start.
when I reinstalled over the gog version with the EA version, it asked if to use local or cloud saves, it says the cloud saves is from 1970, as if Y2K clock reset bug.
There is no else AV apps except W.Defender? They can require adding /Games/ to exceptions (for EA App fir of!).
ZoneAlarm, PandaAV - better be uninstalled. They always ignore exceptions.
all the admin launch combinations have been tried, dont mention it. assume your admin tips dont work, at all. its something else than user error. its a game executable error.
also copying old save game files from the gog version to steam version seems to work. have not tested over multiple battles.
Still no having your issues, keep trying to find out the issue.
