-Ranger: just want money to smash in the pub.
-Soldier: wanna be proud hero.
-thanatos: local drunk with a huge ego.
-titan: gentleman, who cares about the colony.
-sniper: serial killer, with a head exploding fetich.
i agree ranger voice get extremely annoying very fast.
It's not so much what he says, but how he says it and his voice in general. I like his voice and find it fits pretty good as a narrator. The voice lines he has are fine, but I wouldn't mind if they change them. But the voice actor himself, I find he has a cool voice which totally fits.
Text to speech is much worse than the narrator.
He has a pretty typical emotionless voice which fits the best for this kind of thing. All he is meant to do is tell you things.
the last wave one has a little of emotion, a very calm "OMG"
