How well is the game optimized?
I am wondering how well the game runs.. My PC should handle it with a GTX 1080/I77700k, but RTS games can be weird at time, and i know games like Total Warhammer pushes my PC big time.

With your setup, it'll only drop FPS slightly on the final wave if you set map population to maximum and don't clear the map before the final wave starts. We're talking about the last 2-5 minutes out of a 3 hour session.

I got i5, gtx960, 8gb ram.
Runs perfect 95% of the time.
Only lags when
- final wave
- I go for the 10,000 population achievement. You don't need more than 3000-4000 pops.

70 hours, 0 crashes.

Your system is overkill for this game.

for me its lagging alot lately with and i5 7600k gtx 1060 and 16gigs of ram fps keeps dropping randomly and back to 60.. and sometimes the fps will cap at 30 for no reason. honestly its a mess for me. icant understand why im getting all these fps drops.

I don't understand it either. I have a very similar setup to the OP (So slightly higher than yours) and it rolls at 60 until the final wave.

The character models are sprites I beleive, so the graphic intensity is very low.

I have an ancient pc (AMD athalon lol) and crappy video card (750ti), and I have no issues playing so far. Perhaps on higher difficulties with more enemies it might lag, but smooth on easier settings.

It's quite well optimized, but the controls are terrible, forgetting what realtime strategies have learned in the last 20 years, and going back to reinvent the wheel.

Low tier attempt to derail the thread. 1/10.

It is impressively well optimized, 1080, have seen 3-4 thousands of units on screen at same time with no noticable fps drop at 1440p.

I underline this part 3000-4000 units on screen at same time

How To Fix.. Go to they are billions exe file.. right click, go to options - Compatability.. Disable full screen optmization. Once done.. Open Nivide Control panel.. manage 3D.. go to programs settings.. find they are billions, Scroll down to vertical sync, change it to fast! xD it sounds bogus I know trust me lol.. but i saw some guy on youtube do this.. to my amazment this worked some how.. So yeah if your problem persists it's cause you didnt try this "Plain And Simple" Thank me cause this was not easy to find LOL

I'm currently playing in Win10 Boot Camp on a 2015 iMac. It's not terrible for gaming, but definitely not on par with a real gaming PC.

I only experience real FPS drops on the final wave (many thousands of units on the map all at once), and even then it's not to a point that it's intolerable. The game has also never crashed. Not even once in I'm guessing 180ish hours played.
