Zombies just keep attacking my base... Does these resources trigger anything ?
PS: I would research it by myself but there is no option in the game to see whole map without fog.. (Hello devs)

How you can got both pcikup on top corners? On 800% there is mass way before them. Maybe one, but both...

So, did your ranger survive? If she taken damage - more infected are coming. And this is very tiny map.
Also - but that happened for me on 500% and not 800% - it trigger infected spawn. Unlimited. Not just random runners - but unlimited wave come from all sides. It been not at beggining, im managed to build some colony and walls, i SAW edges of the map. And im saw how THEY SPAWNED. Not just come everyone who already been there. There is not enough forces to stop them. yes, soldiers did noise. Ranger will die in this anyway. But i have not enough soldiers at this time (how stupid +30% for food here...). And yet, if they didnt literally spawn unlimited and just come unlimited - i beat them. Im already did that on 800% on this mission.

Each time when i return to this - as part of completely new walkthrough or as replay function with some more tech (once as new on 800%, mostly as new 500% and replay on 800%) - this is mission just not fun and not so easy how it supposed to be. And on 800% when i do it as new try i beat it easily than every attempt on 500%.

This game is broken with noise and random things. Entire game - survival and campaign. When you faced Infected Mutants you see that.
And such minor but STUPIDITY disadvantages come in mass for campaign. Great game and worst at same time. Its not completed for campaign, but devs dont care.
(to improve survival they should do something with stupidity with Mayor's and fix resources spot generation, especially for first-supposed-to-be-easiest map; for campaign there is much more to fix\improve).

Also, in current version harpies is able to jump not matter if there is enough space to jump. Always build 2-line walls, free space - and another line. Make them jump twice. But that make troubles with distance attackers Venoms...
use spikes trap anyway. As first line...? And at some place behind walls (in case if you do 2+1\1+2 or any combination, or just 2-line and that all and spikes behind - and use Titans and Watch towers+snipers to deal with harpies).
I dont know what better. Again most infected first line is spikes traps, and then walls. Against at least harpies it better to place traps behind... and probably even first line should be wall...

Wasps - is better attacking turret you can get. And cheaper one.

In the very very beggining I take one ranger for every resource, take those resources leading rangers according specific path and return them to the base.. Not sure rangers are even damaged because they never stop and have full hp

In the previous tries I took only two resources (top right and bottom). I was able continue the game in this case BUT when I extended colony closer to the place where I took upper right recource I was getting attacked by huge number of zombies.. Looks like poor game design to me or bugs..

And I can't even check that and see what happens on the map =( BECAUSE THERE IS NO OPTION TO REMOVE FOG OF WAR

THANK YOU DEAR DEVS

What are you playing ?
Campaign ? If yes which map ?
Survival ?
Custom map ? Again, if yes which map ?

I'm playing Hunter Meadow - third campaign map
I've just finished it using backup saves for testing and must admit that there is no infinite spawn.. But there are places on the the map where you should go only if you have strong army cause many many zombies start attacking with huge number

Regarding picking up resources on the start, I think, initially there are tons of zombies across the borders but when I'm picking up those resources there is a risk of moving all those zombies closer to the center - my base and that's why I had tries when zombies just killed whole my base at the very beggining of the game

You can get stone+lumber down of the village easily. Maybe one of two food at corners. Point is - your ranger should do that fast and not take damage from anyone. Or that triggered them.
if you cant do that at start - wait until you have some more rangers and walls. You should be ready to stand against them. After some time there be more of them and your ranger cant get it and survive. So she die and only SOME of them triggered to run to you.
On 800%. On 500% it happened for me that they come EVERYONE and continue spawned. It be not at beginning for me, you not needed UnFOG on such tiny map. Im already have some troops, already have walls. And yet, they just overrun me. Not happened on 800%, not happened in survival, not happened on any else missions (maybe cause all of them is much larger). And maybe i can deal with them - but that be not enough time for achieve goal before 48 day.
Once i have enough soldiers even to stop Tents infection. But again, i think im loose then for days limit. Im not sure. There is so much attempts to win this mission in most *properly* way with not so randomly spamming tents... And yet, i can do that only as replay with much more tech and Farms. On 800%. On 500% i beat it in most stupidity ways, with such randomly spamming hunters meadow... with huge decrease of food quantity (pause abuse)...

Such food allow you hire some more soldiers at once - and they needed on 500/800 to have time for clearing map. 48 days along with other factors for this mission is stupidity. 48 day should be goal for much more harder mission, and not "Level-1" difficulty labelled.

You probably cant clear whole map + walls and at same time fast enough to build enough tents. it should be spamming tents and walls on much possible tiny place. And do not spent time on just clearing map.

So probably better try to pick it up immediately at start. Just do not take damage or maybe let her die. At least most infected triggered to place where she die, and only some come to your HQ. if she return hit and alive - everyone triggered come with her, for sure.

hunter meadow is a tiny map, the zed pressence is pretty high at the edges. DO NOT expand without an army, and protect all sides reasonably heavily.

victory is population of 600 or something. so you need to expand but I would not push it, get walls and towers up manned by many rangers Like more than you'd think because rangers suck, no need to grab anything, just stay close to home push out slowly.

I would go as far as 2 wooden towers, 8 archers on 4 sides to defend before pushing out. on 800%.

yes I would recommend cottages and farms for this mission as techs, unsure if I could get wooden towers too. he says its third campaign map so he probably has the basics down.

Firstly, why do you try to take all the resources on the map? You only need the stone to the left to make a Soldier's Center. The goal on that map is to get 600 pop, there's no final wave either, so you don't need it.

About research.
You can get wood towers but you wouldn't have soldiers if you play it as your third mission. If you want both, you can always play the crossroads mission first and get more research points. That being said, you don't actually need Soldiers, Wood Towers, Farms or even Cottages to win the mission. But I agree with the others - taking Cottage + Farm tech early is my research of choice aswell.

About strategy.
You should start producing Rangers around day 9 at the latest, because day 10 is when the random runner zombies start coming. Ideally have walls around most of your village too, thats how I stopped the runners and I did it on 800%.

About your complaints.
Yes, zombies in this game attack your base. That's how this game works. Your job is to defend your base :happy_creep:

Yes, some areas have tougher zombies than other areas. Normally slow zombies are in the center, fast zombies are in a circle around the center all the way up to the edges, and special zombies (chubby, venom, harpies) are mixed in very close to the map edge.
In Campaign, early missions like Hunter's Meadow have no special zombies.

The only way to remove fog of war is by building the wonder called "The Silent Beholder". Obviously, it's a bad idea, you would need to research it early and you would cripple yourself for the rest of the campaign, not to mention that removing the fog of war probably won't do anything for you, because you're focused on the SimCity part of your game, so you won't see a group of red dots running through a sea of red dots on your minimap anyway.
