Guide: How to mod unit/building stats

So I found out how to mod the unit and building stats and it turns out it's really easy.

STEP 1.

First you need 7-Zip, then find the file called ZXRules.dat in They are Billions main folder.

Right click on that file, go to " 7-Zip " and choose "Pack up files..."

A new window will appear where it needs password.

So you type in the current password for 1.0.18 version of the game:

-9495552146701228917317764-9495552146701228917317764334454FADSFASDF45345

After you have copied and pasted this password, click ok.

Now you will notice there is a folder called ZXRules where ZXRules.dat is inside, finally we can open and READ it.

Change anything you like and when you feel you are done, we start with the next step, to put it back again so the game can use it.

STEP 2.

Now right click on your modified ZXRules.dat and choose "Put to archives..."

A new window will pop up that we have never seen before.

It needs to have these properties:


Archive format: zip
Compression level: Ultra
Compression method: Deflate, not Deflate64
Dictionary size: 32 KB
Word size: 128
Encryption method: ZipCrypto

Aswell as the exact same password we used before:

-9495552146701228917317764-9495552146701228917317764334454FADSFASDF45345

When you are done just click on OK button.

Now you will have a ZXRules.zip file, just rename it back to ZXRules.dat and paste it with the original one.

Done! Now you can play with your modified units/buildings!

Don't forget to make a backup of the original ZXRules.dat just incase.

Cannot change unit zombie statistics by map.

also modify market rewards but cannot increase the number of choices or rewards.

the informal mode has its limitations so it must be made by the Dev.
