Anyone know any usefull short-cuts?

in particular I find myself looking like crazy for a soldier unit who I misplaced, they dont appear on the map in a colour that stands out.
would be usefull to have a key that picked all units of the same type too.. I had loads of rangers all oover he map and I was hoping to send them all out on a raid.. but it was almost impossible doign it 1 by 1...

Any help would be super usefull,

yeah know your pain iam currently holding ALT and looking for the health bars wich is still annyoing but little bit better

Selecting all the units of one type is easy if you can find one of them. Hold ctrl and then click on one and all the units on the map of that type will be selected. Works for buildings too. Double click on a unit does the same thing. Also if you're just trying to find where they are and not send them all somewhere I figured out a cheap trick. Select them all using the method I gave above. Then pause the game if it's not already. hit patrol move button and click somewhere. There will be a green line leading from there to each of your units. Once you know where they are you can select the ones you want, put them in a ctrl group (hold control and hit a number 1-9 to set them to that number). Then select all again and hit s for stop so that they don't all go patrol to where you clicked then double click the control group number to center the map on the guys you want to send them where you want.

If you can't find any of the unit to ctrl click on. Pause the game, zoom out the map as far as you can and select a large area. Check which units get selected and click on the picture of the one you want. You can again hit patrol and click somewhere to find the lines leading to the units and then you have your unit to click on to select all.
