Game is taking forever to to do anything. I started up a new game and its been like 10 mins trying to load the assets. I have a modern rig and this is pretty odd. Anyone have the same issues? Any Fixes?

*edit
I just reinstalled it and it worked fiine. Must of had a bad install.

Not experiencing anything like this, I usually can start up the game and start a new game or load a previous one within about 30 seconds between starting it via Steam and playing.

You might have run in some kind of buggy file corruption or leak. Have you tried:
1. Restartung the game
2. Restarting Steam
3. Restarting your rig
4. Check game files via Steam
5. Reinstall it

Might also be an issue with your drive if you're running it from an external one.

Dont own it, and I cant run the game anyway but i own Lords of Xulima and that game although totally different engine, was a slow loader aswell.

Hmm, maybe its a brand issue. I have a Amd Prosessor and a Nvidia card. As in maybe there are Amd issues or something.

Just tested and it took 35 seconds to load the game from desktop into a saved game. Do you have a mechanical hard drive? I would do a smart\disk check in any case if it repeatedly takes this long

[edit] I've got a seven year old CPU and motherboard and an ssd from a year or two ago

i dont know cause i have Intel ever since and the first GPU was a voodoo if i remember correctly, lateron it was always Nvidia, so if it is a certain issue then it might be a Nvidia .
I dont know if its a AMD/Intel cpu thing i do know that some games use extreme heavy engines, and Unity engine games delivers 75% (if not more) unoptimised games, which sometimes can be solved with vsync from within the game, as for disc acces i dont know what might be causing it cause i am no techguy but i do know that if you take 40 games of the same type engine : 3d/fpp they all perform different.

Anyway i guess the super way would be to win the lotto and buy the latest 8 core or whater the max is now, and the latest gpu and hardware , a extreme large case and the best coolers to keep things cool, my more less average pc is only capable to run casual games, then again it is already >9 years old...
