assuming you have the train upgrades "assuming you dont by the looks of it" then narrow pass is definitely beatable
cape storm you again dont need shock towers as if you have 300+ soldiers you can do it
frozen lake never did it without shock towers so idk but shock towers would definitely help
moral of the story 1- dont make bad tech choices
2- if 1 is unavoidable then always make backups precisely to avoid this scenario
Too bad changing your tech choices is not a thing.
press esc in the campaign map screen
"save backup" play missions and if you ever mess up "Load backup" and "re-roll" tech if your unhappy
your campaign is definitely still winnable you just made a few mistakes
So no you are not screwed.
Did you make it harder than the "optimal" build yes but its far from unwinnable.
If you really feel its not winnable you can restart or turn down the diff for a few missions.
Started the fight with 368 soldiers with roughly half inside or outside the wall (All veterans were inside due to their slightly higher range) and ended it with only 166 soldiers left standing, a few tiles of wall on the far left side, and a couple of infected buildings on the far right (I built a mill near the right edge of the wall, not expecting the final wave to be as massive as it was, and the gap it created in my wall of soldiers crippled that flank's damage output).
I'm *really* glad I pushed my food to the limit by replacing a bunch of sawmills with mediocre farms and by spamming a bunch of 3-5 food hunting lodges in whatever gaps I could find. I seriously doubt I would have survived if I had only 20-30 less soldiers at the start, let alone the 50-70 I got from those changes/additions.
Notable techs were the +20% armor and damage techs on soldiers.
I have never used shock tower to beat full campaign
