just a short clip of me taking him down.
41 snipers, 4 rangers and 1 soldier, i lost 12 snipers all rangers and the soldier
He does area damage, swipes and takes out multiple units, pretty good addition.

i wonder how many are on the map. doesnt look like hes only near the corners like the faster zombies.

If he can kill 12 Snipers out of 41, then all Sniperballs of 20 are goner. It´s just a suizidemission... And I allways uses at least 40 Sniper each Balls to clear a Map, 2-4 Balls

There was only 1 on this map, i had it on "challenging" you can play "nightmare" and i think there are 3 on the map!!!

there is a symbol on the map in the fog of war to show where he is, he lurks around the edges, you have to go and find him, you dont want these to add to the final wave.

Nice clip I didn't play the game since the update but he is not as terrifying as I thought reading about him... Still yeah they could be in the final wave or maybe add another difficulty to make it 4 - one from each direction

I hope the add keybinding soon

Thanks.

I'm sure i read the higher difficulty the more of these there are, "Nightmare mode" (the new harder mode) has 3 of these guys!

they cant see far and are deaf....so, that means they wont really attack unless you go after them, get enough snipers, 40+ really and you should be fine, but i'd love to see this attack a base, just to see what it does to walls and towers.

Read the patch notes and thought that sounds cool. Watched your clip and this was confirmed! Seems the giant is a good counter to the sniper ball of death - if you just lined up the snipers I assume he would work his way down the line one at a time? Form an orderly queue please......

Must go try this :)

I had 8 snipers and a dozen titans.
Used 1 ranger to run circles around that dumb f*** and the giant simply chased the ranger. He was dead before he could even touch any of my units.

So I guess, you just need a ranger and some micro then...

When i planned to attack the giant for the first time, i gather 10 vet.soldiers, 20 snipers, 4 titans, 4 thanatoses, put them in crescent hold formation - titans as a protective wall, packs of snipers and soldiers separately behind, and thanatoses in the backs.
Agroed the giant with 1 archer and made the most stupid mistake - run through the titans to the back, expecting the giant to switch target when he reach titans. He didn't ...
Obviously he just followed the archer, ran though titans, smashed archer with pack of soldiers, next sweep killed snipers. Also he killed one titan before his death.
Stupid me :steamfacepalm:
El Guapo Sep 4, 2018 @ 2:50am
I wish I had made that mistake! Those are always fond memories in games. Now I have to think of some creative screw-up in my next giant encounter.

Sound a bit like a super weapon. Hate games with super weapons. End-Game fodder.
Dukenukem117 Sep 6, 2018 @ 6:02am
I just leave them alive to get killed by towers in the end. They don't tear through walls that fast.
Pigeon Sep 6, 2018 @ 5:55pm
Split them up as much as possible, as he can splash kill them all or use solo front lucifers/titans to soak dmg and back thanos/snipers for damage. Failing that cheap rangers for meatshields up front snipers in the back
red255 Mar 23, 2020 @ 2:19pm
you generally just take some units to distract him while you ball of units kills him, trading one or two snipers off your ball for one giant isn't bad. you just micro and bait. same as any RTS.

yes I suppose you could use walls. if you've expanded that far. but its a RTS the goal is to do the most with the least and least amount of time. baiting him back to your walls costs time. that could be spent expanding elsewhere. claiming etc. but yeah if you have tesla support a few wooden fenceposts save lives.
