Probably a conscious decision. How else would a sneaky little decrepit zombie sneak through that one spot in your defenses and infect your colony?

If they can make it like starcraft 2's health bar options, that would be cool. Always on, shown when units are damaged or shown when selected.

I like those sneaky zombies, they should be kept around, but they can be too sneaky.

I lost a base once because a zombie hidden behind a forest bashed down a wall behind a forest. Zero warnings until the screaming started because it was barely onscreen (I was fighting a horde nearby).

I prefer better warnings, not permanent health bars.

You can hold Alt for health bars. I agree, paused and a warning when buildings are being attacked would be better.

This feature is currently supported within the game. However, The tenkeyless keyboard is not

supported and only the tenkey keyboard is available.

1.Assign right keypad number (0-9) to the health bar key.

2.Exit the setup screen and return to the game

3.Press the specified number key and press Num Lk.

That’s not being supported by the game that is a workaround and req having a numpad to do. If it was supported wouldebt req a keyboard with a numpad any keyboard would work. Supported would be having a toggle option.

But this should be in the suggestion thread if the person reviving the year old thread wants it added. Not you the guy above you.

But thx for the workaround I norm hold alt so will be nice to set this up.

After a few tests, I noticed there was a way to use this feature on the tenkeyless keyboard.

However, only some users can use it.Only in window mode.

1.Assign keypad number (0-9) to the health bar key.

2.Exit the setup screen and return to the game

3.Press the specified number key and They Are Billions Title Bar Right Click.

I will continue to test other methods.

Activate sticky keys in Windows. You press alt once, it sticks. :-)
The catch: lasts only until you press another key. But I got used to press alt again, after every key action. It's an improvement.
The long known numpad workaround allows any other keys pressed while staying on and doesn't require windows settings to be changed. Far superior.
