Farms and Hunter Huts
If you build a hunter hut close to a farm. Does the hunter hut take away food production from the farm?

yes. if their AOE overlaps it will take some of the production from you

Would it? Tooltip doesn't show reduced food when you place hunters hut near the field.
I thought the reduction only happens if you place inside the range of a farm and remove a farmable tile.

the AOE (area of effect) the green lines you see when you are trying to place it

hunters hut and farm both get ressources from grass , if both overlap only 1 of them gets ressources off the grass . Ive notice some 2-6 food reduction when i overlap them out of neccessity .

Its all about whats inside the green lines , if you place a farm on half grass half dirt , then fill in the dirt part with tents , you dont get a reduction but place it inside on the grass and you get some ..god im awful at explaining stuff , hope you understand xD

Hm... I'm pretty sure I had it overlaping and didn't notice any reduction (like only farm or only hut getting food from that tile)

it might be if you place inside the farm itself but i always base it around the AOE. just to make sure i don't take more out of the farm than the hut would give me.

Only the place occupied by the building itself affects the harvest/production. It's different for the lumber and minerals.

Farms produce food from farm crops. Hunter produces food from grassland/farm crop/forest. So if some tiles are "shared" by Farm and Hunter, both will produce food from these tiles. Simply don't place the Hut into the farm field with crops and you're good.
