Tips for the Cape Storm mission?
The final wave of enemies is endless and just bulldozers over me. I had about 60 soldiers (half were vets from clearing the map) in watchtowers backed up by about 40 Rangers.

I only have wooden walls which don't last long. I did a different mission for research points and now have the points to get a Great Ballista, but I don't know how effective it'll be.

Any tips for me?

Get х3 amount of soldiers you have. In fact, if you have a large enough army of soldiers, that alone (and walls ofc) is enough. Having only 60 soliders for that mission is grossly inadequate.

Ballistas are pretty effective (they have small aoe), but don't count on ballistas only. You will still need a proper standing army.

Focus on mass producing soldiers. Ideally you'd have shock towers which are achievable by that point in the game and make it a cakewalk but you may not have the ability to get them right now it sounds like. I've heard that spike traps also work wonders here.

Wow, funny, I just lost this mission just now... I had the upgraded walls, 8 rows, with row ballistas and like 30 soldiers... they rolled over everything so fast!

The key to have your defenses last longer is to kill zombies mostly before they can hit walls. If you don't have strong aoe options, only massed units can achieve that kind of firepower.

30? you should try to have like 100 or 200, if you dont have aoe (shoking towers or lucifers, both possible to have here)

the level is defintly possible with only with soldiers, wooden walls and balistas (or at least on 100%) you just need to expand fast enough, so you can spend your last 10-20 days just spamming out soldiers, you would need something like 200, which is very much achievable, if you expand fast enough

Okay so guys just to confirm -on nightmare 500% - this mission i don't think is possible with just soldiers, i have nearly 400 and it wasnt even close!!! 3 electric towers at the front do the job though... with a small party of soliders.

I just did it about 15 minutes ago. My first 2 rows were ballistas with towers housing soldiers and then a third row with ballistas and towers housing snipers. I even only did single walls between each and it worked fine. I had spike traps behind this and then another wall with soldiers behind it but they never even broke past the second row of ballista. I'm only playing on 100% though.

Better yet, all you need is wood walls and soldiers on 100%. I beat it with 300 soldiers.

Start clearing the map with soldier 1 and 2 (if you even have unlocked them). Rush for stone and iron making sure that you have plenty of tents going up initially. You need to micro your soldiers so they don't die. Get your stone and iron cleared within day 2. Then set up your Soldier Center. Next, focus on getting up to ~300 GPT so you can really start amassing an army. Your rangers can hold the gates for 30 days, so use this time to build up 5 groups of 4-6 soldiers to really clear out the map . . . and don't let your soldiers idle, constantly push forward.

All the while, keep making food, tents, upgrading to cottages (you really do want this tech early along with farms). As you expand, put out tesla towers to be able to build in the cleared areas. After that, just spam soldiers. Keep on making cottages and food while you build soldiers as the 1500 pop req. is a bit hard to reach.

My last piece of advice is to NEVER, EVER let your gold overflow. You do that and you might as well delete your walls and say come on in.

I beat every swarm mission by spamming soldiers, it never occurred to me to do that in a mission. >.<

This was my first attempt, grossly underestimating the final wave and doing a crap job with the wall:

This was my second go with an easy win:

Nothing but wood tech (health upgrade and spikes) and soldiers (upgraded with range and armour)

we dont talk about nightmare here :)

On nightmare, you need shoking or lucifers. My choise was Lucifers to beat swarm missions easily as well. Now I think Wasps for the swarm missions and Shoking Towers afterwards would have been a more perfect choise.

I feel you. It only gets worse unfortunately just a few missions later you have omnidirectional waves with no chokes and you have a longer incubation time which means sure you can get more resources but it also means restarting a huge section if the final wave got you.

On nightmare difficulty this mission is straight up not doable without some serious AOE in the form of Shocking towers or lucifers. My friend had 8 rows of like 60 ballistas in total. The command centre went down whilst the stream was still coming. Intelligent tech choices are super necessary.
