Tech tree points
Hi all! Im playing the campaign and i've completed the 21% , i've all the points from my misions so i hadnt miss anything, but im starting to be worried, cause i see the tech tree is veeeery big, and me with the 20% of the campaign completed i dont have the 20% of the tech tree.

Anyone knows if we are suposed to be able to unlock all the tree or maybe the problem is that i CANT unlock everything?

I love complete games and i hope i can unlock everything

EDIT: I created a suggestion in the suggestions subforum:

"Tech Tree 100%"

i dont believe 20% of the mission done = you should be 20% complete on research. different mission have different research pt reward values, but it wouldnt surprise me if the devs wanted replay value by restricting the total research tech pts so that you couldnt unlock them all by the end. with that in mind im being very stingy with my choices, especially on nightmare. there is alot of filler tech that i wont waste pts on unless i know for sure that you can 100% the tech tree by the end.

Wtf are you talking about? Tech trees like this are almost always a decision, what to take vs what to pass up.

The only thing for me is this tech tree seems HUGE and I have absolutely no indication how many points we get.

And im telling that i like complete the techs trees, if u dont like, okey, but save your bad words for you, or for your post at least. Thanks in advance.

you can only get around 60 ish percent of the tech tree by the end of a campaign "as intended"

Lol, good discussion.

You: Waah waaah, game won't let me complete the tech tree.

Everyone else: Yeah... most games don't...

You: Waaah waaaah, you're wrong. Also you said a naughty word.

What are you? 10? Shouldn't you on Fortnite?

All the games I've played that have a tree you tend to only have enough to buy 2/3rds of all the tech by the end of the game or at max level my OCD always hated it lol

x-D

Thats what i hate, im completionist, so i would like to be able to unlock all the techs.

If u think about it, u have to spend most of the points just unlocking the basics that are actually ingame in the survival mode, unless u skip units or buildings.

=(

Hello,

You only can get around the 75% of the techs in the tree.

The problem isn't just that the tech tree is limited (no, it isn't always that way, sometimes it's about the order in which you unlock things rather than just the choices you make). The problem is that a) it isn't telegraphed and comes as a surprise to many players, b) some techs are 'essential' and make the campaign near impossible without them (and there's no way to know), c) many new players will have no idea what techs to prioritise whether it's essential or personal taste they haven't had a chance to develop yet, d) mistakes are punished by being written in stone as there is no respec. You must restart your campaign over entirely to overcome a mis-click or poor decision, which makes experimentation difficult.

d) is an endemic problem with TAB. The failure state of the game often is a cascade, where 1 infected getting past paper-thin defences cascades into an irrecoverable swarm. Even if you could recover, the overall pace of most missions and survival is contingent on a inflating economy, so such a setback is cause to restart anyway.

In this case, fatal mistakes to your tech tree can essentially force you to restart the entire campaign as you've dead-ended your ability to make progress.

My advice is to just think about the things that you don't rely on too heavily endgame in survival and avoid those. I'm going to avoid all the free units, anything related to inns, anything related to wire traps, probably any shock tower enhancements (I never have enough power), and unless I have to I'm going to avoid buffs to the hunter's cottage, fisherman's cottage, etc. since most of my food comes from farms after the first couple minutes.

I just created in the subforum "suggestions" a topic asking for the 100% tech tree, my point is that is logic that u start with less and u have to choose while u earn the points, but if u take the time to complete all the misions even the hero ones, u should be rewarded with the possibility of unlock all the tech tree.

Thats my opinion and my sugestion of course but i think it can change the campaign for better

I don't disagree, my least favorite part of SC2 was the fact that I didn't have a full tech tree going into the final mission. But I do figure out ways to live with it if I must.

Normally I would suggest save file editing or mods... I mean it isn't an issue yet but I hate not unlocking all the tech. Unless it's vital I'm probably skipping the train tech... Unless it makes the train look cooler... then I might want to get them
