Goddess of Destiny with no wasps
Hey yo, if you haven't played the last map in the campaign yet don't read! :)

So i'm struggling to get past the harpie wave on apocalyptic or whatever the 800% is called because I have not unlocked wasps. so I can't make my "walls" more then 3 thick so they obviously just jump over it.. i can defend myself and kill them off eventually as i normally have 400 soldiers or so at that point, but i lose way to many buildings to infection and it takes too long to clear them out for me to prepare for the following spitter wave.

Any suggestions on how to stop them ? i was thinking of making a wall with literally only gates as you seem to be able to put them as many row deep as you want. sounds expensive and kinda funky but hey, i need to be creative here :P

Also no wasps. They will jump through but somehow not via every hole. They will go for the towers first if they are occupied so the towers will tank some damage. You just need units or ballistas behind those towers (few tiles away) and you should be OK. Like i said they will go for the occupied towers first so ballistas should be safe.

On the screenshot you can see that on the right i'm being a bit overwhelmed so i just moved some titans/archers from the left side to the right side and i was fine.

Some users already use a narrow choke point near the CC in a way that they know.

Defending from the edge of the map is not recommended for players who are not proficient in the game.

@Isakujjang1 I have done all other maps on 800% so i'm probably "proficient" at the game.

@Randomdude2018 Thanks for the screenshot! Ill have to test that out. are the towers behind the first layer of walls not manned at all ?
Also whaaat the ♥♥♥♥, rangers ?? xD

Yes. They are not occupied. You build them AFTER you place the walls. NOT before. If you do this the other way you won't be able to place some walls and will have holes. They are there to tank damage only for the other zombie types and to block the harpies too. That's my standard wall structure. Normally i would place wasps in the holes (between the towers, never instead of) and harpies wouldn't jump at all (lame i say).

I did the harpy wave with only rangers too. Spitter wave also. But lost too many rangers and failed on the infected mutants wave. I had to restart the map but this time i used titans also.

I didn't end up using wasps for the special waves at the end of the final map, just lots and lots of Snipers and Thanatos. Plus Titans and stuff, but my long range high damage units really saved the day. The main thing that made the difference on the final map though was that I stopped trying to defend the entire map. Find good choke points, set up lots of stone towers and guns, and just hold what you can.

Also unintuitive thing that ends up happening: the 3000 population goal doesn't actually seem to matter? I finished the final wave with my base in shambles and nowhere near that population and it gave it to me as soon as all the zombies were dead. That objective wasn't even checked off on the end screen.

With the early start it´s the most dificult part of the map. Set a stone tower in the front and at least 3 of them or 2 executors in the back with the range limit in the tower. So they are gonna jump your wall and go for the tower and the other defenses are gonna kill them before they can destroy the tower.
Just as a bait unit near wasps. Defend in the border is easier because the mob is smaller but don´t have to be the only defense. Early game you can set choke points in southwest, west and northeast so you can defend the special swarms easily. Also the stone tower gives you more range than wood towers, I´ve had wipes in the whole base but the towers still had units without energy defending it.

So in last map go for shocking towers for the normal mobs. Change ir or put them in the back in day 50 - 60 just after the normal swarm and stop expanding to focus on your defense. The base inside the florest is great for defending and you should never delete de defenses and towers: in the west a tesla tower can be used for west and south. The place in north above the base is great to defend and you can get it with 20 rangers, put a shocking tower and use them to clear de vod. The east part is terrible to defend because of the train line but you can delete the houses in the right part to set a nice last option.
