What's the point of Executors?
They seem to be very weak. I feel they need a buff. I'm doing 500% survival runs btw

I always go Sniper + Thanatos on my survival games but this time I decided to experiment a little and invest on Executors. They just seems so weak for their price? I feel it's far more efficient use of resources to just spam Sniper + Thanatos. Any thoughts?

They're a powerful static defence with a solid AoE so they can take down specials plus the trash around them.
There will come a point where you can't produce more Thanatos so you can either overproduce snipers in Stone Towers or place down some Executors.
Executors are, as stated, great for taking down some specials with the trash around. Trash are trash but with big waves that have a lot of specials, your snipers will be focused in that and trash in the end can do some damage. Thanatos since they use oil have a limit to how many you can build.

Executors are also good for slowing down waves. Place on surrounded by walls in a forward position and it will buy you some time that might just save your base in some cases.

executors are literally titans but not mobile but the + side is they destroy anything they shoot at and dont cost oil meaning when you run out of oil for thanatos you can still have "titans" aka executors

Honestly, Executors seems like a noob trap to me.

If you wanna take out trash units, it's far better use of resources to just use Shocking Towers when you run out oil to make Thanatos. And yeah, stone towers are pretty freaking good.

if you can afford them there not a noob trap i think them being a very end-game tower fits very well as it does fulfill the niche of a "resource dumb" cause lets face it nothing the game can throw at you gets past like 8 executors lined up xd

yea but at that point wouldnt buying iron with market and spamming wasps be better?

You can always just spam executors AND wasps. xD

imagine something that does 300 dps a second and doesnt overkill
Then you're imagining 3 wasps.
Maybe you should check your numbers.

So are you saying titans are weak and need a buff then?
That your thing now?

They are op in your head where they have three times the dps of reality, yes.

Fresky is correct. Wasps are the best defence when thinking about cost to damage ratio. I tested this myself on this custom map.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1708367595

On the top left green field closest to the base, I filled it out with executors. The whole field. On the top right green field closest to the base, I filled it out with wasps. It was far more expensive to put down the executors because the field I had to put them in had a bigger space.

So the executor field cost way more resources, had a bigger field I could put down executors when compared to the cheaper smaller wasp field. Come day 89, The executor field was overrun while the wasp field was just at half field destroyed.

In the end though, both defences failed. If we aren't thinking about costs, the best dps is 4 snipers on a stone tower with 1 thanatos on the ground. I had 10 rows 10 columns of stone towers full of veteran snipers. Come day 100 the whole middle was gone with a few towers remaining. I'd suggest you guys try out the map. It gives plenty of resources but the waves are stupid strong. Like x100 the normal survival maps.

I'm not sure what you're saying, on the one hand you say "fresky is correct" on the other you say "both failed." Can you clarify please? It seems to me you're saying that wasps ultimately aren't that good because there is a better defense than it. I would imagine vet soldiers are also better than wasps.

So the executor field cost way more resources,
The executor field can't cost more ressources, since it's a 2x2 tower which can't be stacked (meaning there is at least one space between each other), unlike wasps. Basically, on a 14x14 field (for instance), you can put 196 wasps (for 62720 gold and 1960 iron), but only 25 executors, or 30000 gold and 500 iron.

It's very surprising that with half the gold and a quarter of the iron, the executor defense performed worse!

Best cost to damage ratio = wasp

Best dps if not accounting for cost = 4 snipers on stone towers + 1 thanatos on the ground

The top left and the top right green field are of the same size, at least in the screenshot.
