Lucifer?
How you do use these guys? I realize being early access and all that some units are bound to be unbalanced (poor soldiers vs snipers i.e.) but these guys... I just don't get them.

Super short range to the point they take a hit or two when killing regular zombies, and the worse of all... Friendly fire!! If the Thanathos with their huge rockets don't do it, why these guys do?

Maybe for clearing infected without making noise? You still have to mass them and commit a lot of gold to a Lucifer army that could be better used somewhere, but just dropping ideas.

From what I gather, they're good in really niche strategies, but usually ones <200% (maybe even lower), namely they can attack through single walls safely, and they can clean pretty well in a curved narrow choke (assuming vipers don't get pushed too far out of range). They lack the bulk needed to take on viper spit, and their too slow, so I've never used them out of the first time I ever built one. Shame too, since they have one of the best VOs in the game.

Place them inside gates, or diagonal walls.

they do make alot of noise. they are tanks with the health and all.
might be a cool idea for AznElite123 to see how he can use them.

maybe challange to only use Lucifer for clearing VoD's

I did that already Mikek, when testing out different units. I used 9 Lucifers to do it on Brutal/80 Map 1. It required a fair bit of micro though, sending two of them at each spitter when they show up, and constantly rotating the more damaged units behind the others to regen. Your line can hold easily without the spitter problem...six Luci and two Snipers is going to be a lot easier.

its been said a million times on this site, a simple search would have cleared everything up.

lucifers fill their role, its just that their role sucks.

until something changes, and a situation where a lucifer can excel arrises, they will continue to be an awkward, absent unit

aside from the iron and research, thanatos cost the same. id take a thanatos over a lucifer any day

Only time the unit is viable is when your mayor options suck monkeyballs and you get offered 1 these early on as it can easily help to clear out the map but I would advise against it unless you really need resouces as I d rather get vet snipers killing thoese zombies than waste it on a lucifer.

I tried them out yesterday. Made 5 and stood them in front of just 7 snipers as they moved in against a VoD.

Those 5 standing side by side easily killed everything coming out of the VoD while the snipers took out the buildings.

Still not really worth it for the cost.
