Remove attacking own units!
Why is it possible to click attack on your own units? This seems silly.

thats normal thing in most RTS games. Why? No one knows but its okay to left it be. Maybe just add button to disable friendly fire or something

Its a part of the challenge to micromanage properly.

It makes streams so much more interesting, when a pro microes and accidently oneshots one of his command centers. :D

You can move military units to the Soldier Center and disband them. Although if you need troops NOW and the SC is WAY over there I can see the problem.

I must confess that once the map is cleared I tend to send my Rangers on suicide runs.

i agree i killed a few of my own veteran snipers sometimes, but i think its a normal mechanic, just dont be stupid and be careful about controlling your units. For example now i never kill my own units.

There are good mechanics to "remove" unwanted units, and the game provides them. Attacking them by accident is just silly, and a negative point against an otherwise good game.

Yeah, I found out by accident. When you move units close enough to the SC you get an icon in the LR corner to Disband.

As for the arguments for and against attacking your own units, this is a zombie survival game. The need to shoot one of your own people is a staple of the genre. IMHO it should draw zombies in a small radius though...for feeding purposes.

I actually agree with this. Most RTS's I'm fine with being able to attack your own units (allows me to have some fun with it). But this game has some minor issues with the clicking commands that at times, a pack will kill a unit without me even right clicking on that specific unit--I'll left click to choose that unit but for some reason my Attack Move command does not release when I use it and it seems the left and right click commands can sometimes get bugged and flipped. It doesn't happen that much (maybe only a couple times in a 3 hour session) but enough to be kinda annoying especially when you have your 10 or so Snipers and 1 gets his head blown off by his own mates lol.

Though, this was more common before the last update. I haven't played much since so maybe they fixed it. I'll have to see.

It makes the other rangers Paranoid...they might turn on each other at any second...

Allowing operator error is the golden standard of RTS games. You may want to analyze the way you are playing the game.

Now, if the bad pathing and the sometimes glitchy clicking is causing you to kill your own units, I'm all for upgrading that. The interface and pathing definitely leave something to be desired.

you can always [Temporarily] power down a saw mill or a quarry to get more workers available.

It’s stupid that this is even a feature. If you want to kill your own units so bad, the least you could do is disband them at the barracks!
Seriously, I’ve killed multiple rangers at this point by accident because I’m using the steamdeck trackpad to move, and occasionally it happens to place the waypoint on a friendly unit.

You just survived a deadly assault.
Your barrack is infected, energy grid system is offline.

You do not have enough workers and have 100 millitary units.
You need to free up workers in order to save the colony......

On some campaigns it is useful because there is a glitch keeping a zombie in the hillside. You can't clear the map until you lure them out with the loud noise of your soldier shooting a fellow military unit.

or you take your lucifers and you target each other to create a fire trap. I wonder how well 6 lucifers targetting itself would deal with a wave.
