Tesla-Tower change 28.12.2017
I just had a small 6MB or so update and boom a quater+ of my base isn´t working anymore.
The reason seems so be that the Tesla-Towers don´t transmit power over naturals obstacles like trees anymore.

I think thats a terrible change! Obviously because it screews my save, but i also don´t think that Nikola "I can transmit power everywere" Tesla´s tower would have had a problem with those things, at least not when they are as high as the tower itself.
One of the main points about that way of transmitting energy is that you don´t need wires, yet with this chance i have to build a "wire" of towers around any f****** obstacle.

Pls revert that change.

I'm not sure yet if changing the tesla towers to line of sight (which is exactly how it would work) is a bad thing or not yet. It hasn't made the game "harder" for me, it's just changed the way I used to throw down towers with little thought other than "yeah that won't block a roadway"... Now I actually plan them to maximize land and keep them somewhat safe.

does it go over walls?

I totally agree with you bro...

atleast make it transmit power through forests, mountains we can understand :steamsad:

supporting this.
The new energy mechanic sucks.

With this change it'd be really nice to have some kind of power station building that could create a new, independent power grid. Of course it would need some downsides, like making a lot of noise and thus requiring more defense or just being an expensive lategame thing.

I can see why they're doing this though, I had a game where the terrain let me build a base that was disconnected to my HQ, so it was pretty much untouched throughout the whole game, and even if it got overrun I wouldn't care since the infection would just be stopped by my actual base's defenses.

Yes, Please change it back! They already felt a bit limited and expensive, now getting power into nooks and crannies is so frustrating.
If this heavy nerf is introduced at least make them significantly cheaper. I can live with the change if they are 100 gold 5 wood and require no workers.

+1 for change back pls.

dont like this change either. Also, they need more power options I think. The space required to feed a city is absurd, especially on low-resource maps where power stations aren't really an option. I was thinking, wouldn't it make sense for them to utilize solar on their homes? Maybe as an upgrade option you can add a solar-cell at the cost of reducing the residents gold output (a % allocated to upkeep of the solar cell). Just a thought.

I could understand why the devs changed the tower Fov mechanic (it was still retarded), but this is next level...

I like this idea.

Those Tesla towers already had a really low range, and you need to spam them like crazy to expand the way the game requires. Now they're even more irritating.

This change has my new save looking like a tesla tower farm instead of a zombie survival game.
