Item in JCPD Back Alley?

When you leave the prison level and take the maglift down, you can see an item on the stairs behind the maglift, but there appears to be no way to get to it since the maglift is in the way and there's walls everywhere else. What I'm wondering is, is there a way to get that item and if so, how do you go about it?

That's non-obvious. It seemed to me that it wasn't even possible, so it could have been a little clearer. Still, thank you.

There are more stuff and even areas you wont reach if you dont search around, even because these items (and areas) dont even show up to you (you have to investigate, try different things and check).

The game have lots of "non-obvious" things and routes to be taken (also some you can get just when you get back with something else).

Yes, I know. The problem I had was that the passage is so narrow that I genuinely thought that there was no way past it, hence the question.

Yes, I know. The problem I had was that the passage is so narrow that I genuinely thought that there was no way past it, hence the question.

Keeo looking for "impossible locations" or "very narrow passages", these may be possible to reach (and well, if in your explorations you get stuck somewhere you can not return just use your drone to return, the game had that in mind :)).

Actually, I've gotten as far as NG+ and I think I've found quite a few of those. And the S&R module came in handy this one time where I got stuck on geometry in the Cathedral.

Start at the very beginning and search from there, some rooms were locked before.
