Just try more. It's strange because it's the first and the most difficult boss, at least for me.
Maybe because I wasn't ready and strong enough.

Or just farm a little more and ungrade your build.

Thanks. I've tried dozens of times. I have farmed way too much already.

Try this:
If you dont return to the placa where you lvl up and regain health, you can keep killing and the multiplier goes to the sky and beyond, x2, x3, x4, x5 ... In like 2 hours you will go from lvl 10 to lvl 50 with a lot of upgrades.

Thanks. I followed your advice and I eventually defeated him. Yet I am level 53 now. Isn't it a bit ridiculous ? The fights are much less challenging now.

Well, yes, it is a bit ridiculous but still . . . you did it.

Tbh, if you do 2 or 3 runs without getting back to medbay you get so much "resource" that when you decide to upgrade your core and weapons/gear . . . you max it easily.
I think you can get around 80K or more without returning to any medbay, that before defeating Little Jhonny.
Do it some 2 or 3 times and probably you are maxed to lvl 50 with full gear maxed to IV and some 7 or 8 weapons also maxed to IV.
The whole process to lvl up to lvl 50 may take around 2 or 3 hours, considering you dont get lost at the game.

I am actually lost at the game, I got to Gideons Rock at around lvl 20 but now I am lvl 55 and I dont know where the hell I am supposed to go, I just checked fextra and DELVER is at Gideons Rock but I cant find it.

I want to keep searching for things more before checking anything, at least I know there is still things to do there, I just need to search better.

I am trying to follow these tasks . . . I guess there is still places and things to find.

Level 3 armour, directional parry, a quick and long enough weapon like a spear or stave.

I did it with the Metamorphing Talons, Level 3 armour and no parrying.

* Basically it was wait for his leg to come over the top, dodge toward whatever leg I want to hit and swing twice.
* Wait for the next flip that was time for in tight to the body to hit the pincers or coolant tucked to either side but very close.
* He would almost always rise up for a slam (the directional parry implant was useful here as it would indicate an unblockable attack), you then dodge away get some distance. Rarely he'd go for a leg slice but you can dodge away from that as well (usually with slight damage about half a heal) or parry it if you happen to be good at that.
* This caused him to start the sequence of moves with the over to top leg and then you repeat.

Honestly I found little Johnny to be the easiest “proper” boss I ever fought in surge 1 and 2.

I think in my case it’s just my build. Seems like certain builds just stomp certain bosses.

Stick near the center unit, make sure you kill all his middle gear first, then move on to the legs. Get a high attack speed weapon so you aren;t locked, and dont bother parrying, just dodge.

And then what? I break all three of his legs, they become untargetable and start emitting poison gas. The main body appears to be invulnerable; all my attacks just bounce off it and hurt me. Once the legs are down, I can't figure out what I'm supposed to be doing to hurt him. I'm using Metamorphing Talons and Vulture gear.

As I said you need to hit the coolant tanks (and optionally the pincers). There are two pincers, and two coolant tanks one on each side on the main body at the front. They are lock-on able. Tuck in close and hit them until he rises up then dodge out.

The pincers are optional but they reduce the damage of them if you take them out, and taking both out does have another purpose which if you played Surge 1 you'll be able to guess.

Hmm. Okay, I'll try that.

Thanks.

Attack the pincers first then the coolant tanks to get the V2 weapon.
