Thanks for not using the Unreal Engine Deck13, great job on Fledge, game runs great!
Your in-house Engine Fledge does a good job here.
Consistent framerate, little to no texture pop-in, pretty fast load times. only that weird train related crash but aside from that, it's ran fine.
too many games use Unreal Engine, we don't need Epic gaining any more power or money.

The lack of anisotropic filtering does cut down on the quality though

The engine has dips in areas with no explanation.

it's not as packed with as much stuff as some others but they did their best considering they're not very big in terms of budget

I had lower framerate in a couple of areas, like the final boss area because of all that tall grass. but that lower framerate stayed consistent so it wasn't too bad.
Compared to bigger studios with bigger budgets and more expensive engines it could have been a thousand times worse.
There are giant "triple-A" companies that can't ever seem to get the PC version done right.

Doesn’t make the drops in areas any less excusable. I remember facing devolved with constant choppiness due to nanite particles. I’d be cool with it but it’s not visually impressive.

This game runs like crap where other games using Unreal Engine 4 and with better graphics run way better. It has many closed and empty areas, and yet the performance is very poor. The performance isn't consistent with the visual pay off.

Not that important, there are dips in areas with little reason despite it looking on par with the first games graphics.

it kind of is. have checked out cpu & gpu usage?

I know what causes the dips the particles used for nanites impact performance in a read that showcase it. It's not the worst performaning but clearly some parts weren't optimized.
