Unfortunately rolling back the drivers is not an option, as i'm also playing Outer Worlds which needs the latest nvidia drivers to avoid microstuttering. I guess I'd best wait until this is properly patched or new drivers roll out which addresses this issue.
Did you try going back the BL3 drivers, apparently the set has most of the changes added / needed that improve rendering with the current UE4 engine.
That's the 436.30 drivers right? I'll give them a go and report back
Was worth a try though.
Yeah this stability issues that seem to have persisted across different driver versions is the main thing that the community is quite upset about at present. As it is leaving many of them with no viable options (when it comes to drivers) to play the game without intermittent crashing.
To clarify:
Initially the recommended release drivers were 436.30 I believe. However these divers were soon identified as having a hefty visual corruption issue that seem to especially effect the surge 2.
So it was no go on these drivers.
Then there was 436.48 which ManualG (of the nvidia forums) noted was a "partial fix" for the visual corruption issues noted on the previous driver. And as expected these drivers failed to address the visual corruption issue for everyone. They also seemed to introduce a booting issue for the game, preventing some players from being able to boot up the game at all - where previously they had been able to do so just fine.
So it was no go on these drivers aswell.
Then that brings us to 440.97 which seem to now allow the game to boot once more, and also seemed to finally completely address the visual corruption issues - however it further exacerbated an existing bug involving app stability while loading between levels. It infact exacerbated it so much, that some players now found themselves unable to load out of a level area at all - with the game just crashing every time they tried.
So it was no go on these drivers also.
And now we have 441.08 which just came out today (29/10/2019)
So I assume the community will be eager to try these new drivers out to see if they finally provide a level of overall stability for the game.
wow first off thanks that clears up some things, second so many bugs where none where there before? Oh well upward and onward i guess

Oh wow, so it's looking like the vulkan errors are not really addressed by the new 441.08 driver set either.
Damn, it's been a while since i've seen a title remain this unstable for such a long time, thru this many driver iterations. Wonder how long customers are expected to wait before they get a stable game lol :(
I don't usually get vulglar on this site, but fix you need to get on this damn issue ASAP.
