Liberation (SPOILERS)

Where's the key? The only guys I can find nearby are those three listening to their matriarch, and they don't drop anything.

This the quest to save Rex? April has it. There is a certain shortcut you unlock later in the level that takes you above the room where you can first see the bridge where they're taking Eli's body across. Try looking up there.

If you mean the place with the sniper, I already took that guy down. No key that I could see, but I'll look again.

No. No sniper. It's literally the last possible shortcut you can unlock before the boss(besides opening the boss chamber itself).

It's been a while since I've been here. I'm just tying up loose ends before I go to the final boss. You're gonna have to be more specific or hand out a screenshot.
