brightness?

i don't have the game yet but i would assume that and maybe other settings related to lighting.

I don't have that problem at all, might be the gamma on your monitor. Could also try adjusting the settings ingame as well.

The game doesn't have a gamma setting, but the gamma in the game is set way too low, leading to really poor contrast ratio.

some of us are reporting major problems with the gamma, brightness, etc. Other seem to say it fine. Honestly this is the worst I have ever seen.
Try this...

^ This is what I did and fixed the gamma issues for me

I turned down bloom to 50% and it helped. This game looks much worse than The surge, why?

Isn't it an aesthetic choice?

I actually returned my physical PS4 copy because it was straining my eyes, I thought it was because it was due to being the console version and was going to get PC version instead, but now I'm reading all these performance/gamma/saturation issues on here and I'm reconsidering... Ugh

The game is significantly worse than The Surge 1 in the graphics department. Even on the highest settings, the textures of my character pop-in when I do a close-up with the camera. The game indeed looks washed-out. It feels like an alpha version of the real product.

When I die and respawn, sometimes the loading screen and the Hints bleed into the screen when the game resumes.

It looks really bad like the gamma is so high it makes everything look washed out i bet if it was toned down it would even improve performance like fallout with the white pixel issue

It does look really bad. It actually hurts my eyes outdoors. Contrast seems to be set too low and brightness is too high? Not sure what the issue is, but the in-game brightness slider does very little to remedy it nor does lowering bloom.
