Probably one of the best wannabe-souls games out there. It's not as good as an actual from games, but its surprisingly decent.

Excellent game, I'd very much recommend it to fans of soul-likes.

Much like the first game it's a solid PC release - decent performance, keyboard and mouse controls, works in ultrawide - you know all those things FromSoft still can't seem to manage.

The gameplay has been improved compared to the first, the directional parry system is very fun, sets having partial bonuses makes mixing and matching pieces more interesting, there's more varied environments, etc.

Only negative is that it's somehow lost the creepy/grim/horrory vibe that the first had.

The one tip I will mention is, if you turn the directional parry mouse sensitivity to 0 then you can do them will the keyboard instead, which feels infinitely better (it tells you this in the menu but took me a while to figure out anyway).

All in all you can get both the first and second games for something like £5 on sale, and that's and absurd bargain.

Definitely forklift certified after this
