If you mean normal Survival mode, it's 3 rooms of 50 waves each. So have fun with that. Hope you got nothing else to do for the next five hours. xD
If you mean the Endless Survival mode (Unlocking it is a secret :o) then it seems to go on forever. Instead of waves it's just enemies constantly spawning in, and each kill adds +1 to the score. I got to 1030 before I let them kill me because my fingers were sore.
I am sore already, I just beat the first wave.
Stopped for now, hope I don't have to repeat the first wave, but kind of expect I have to.....o.O
Still trying to find the last piece of the aztec calendar, so expect to be sore for awhile. LOL
The only cure is to find the fluffiest Chinchilla you can, and pat its head. That soreness will vanish. -3-
I did this with a highest-level Cally, health regen, call for supplies ability, and highest-level weapons. I used the discgun final form, since it has a high rate of fire by just holding down the fire key, its shots bounce multiple times (which means it can take out enemies you're not even aiming out), and is almost instant-kill at close range. (The discgun final form is in an area only available after getting all the whispering statue pages.) Without trying to rush as fast as possible (but also not stalling), the game says it took me a little under a little under two hours. Since the enemies always spawn in the same spot, and most are constrained to a single platform, health was never a worry. (Well, Cally's health wasn't a worry. My trigger finger's health was going downhill.
I found the first and third areas the fastest, since I could clear them by doing looping routes, and it is possible to jump upwards from the middle and sides of the level. The second area at least felt the longest since the platforms were pretty much only accessible from the middle area (without using bow final form), so it took longer to navigate the level.
Each of the three areas can be scanned for +5000 coins, but it looks like the scan can be done at any time.
This has to be done in one sitting. Even if you finish the first two areas, if you exit, you have to start over from scratch.
I did a just few waves of Cally endless, and scanning said that nothing was found. I'm not planning on grinding through the endless levels as Cally to see if more areas are available.
when you are on round 3 wave 38 and dont really pa too much attention after like 1,5 hours of nonstop easy monster killing.
and you suddenly explode (emergency button) directly followed by another deadly hit that I still dont know what even hit me there.
well, rip me.
definitely not gonna touch that damn survival mode any time soon! >:-(
I assume you have to pass all parts at once but it's too grueling.
