PC/PC crossplay?

Now that we live in a ridiculous time where PC is a fragmented platform, is there crossplay between the Steam and Epic Games versions? Will there? Would make a lot of sense.
Might buy this game on Steam instead of playing the Epic games freebie that's coming up. Because I don't like Epic. But my friends might just get the free one.

I think there might be, but I don't really know... I think that because it's still a PC version, so the servers might be the same

I fear the worst. Steam multiplayer network and Epic are different, in fact, if I'm not wrong, Epic just recently implemented their stuff. I'd love an official answer.

Today the Epic Store version released (I think) and it's giben out for free. A lot of people are gonna play it. Are there any news of crossplya with Steam? Doesn't it make sense to have it???

Thanks for letting us know Jonno! My cousin grabbed this on Epic and since I had the game here I was hoping he could play with me. Guessing a lot of people will be asking this in the coming hours.
