Cutting tips
A few things I've learned that may help you with your game.

* Get the "Steady Hands" perk at some point. You need it.

* When you have to cut bread or feta in half or quarters, do it on the diagonal. Much easier to get closer to a perfect 1/2 cut.

* The game doesn't appear to account for taper in things like carrots or parsley roots, it seems to just see them as cylinders of uniform thickness. When something calls for quartered carrots, just cut them according to length only.

* Conversely, the game does seem to account for the taper of potatoes. When you need potatoes cut into thirds, cut width-wise at the thickest part, then cut the remaining portion about 60/40 in favor of the narrow end.

* The automatic cutter cuts lemons into near-perfect quarters (the pieces will all be 19-21g each). It doesn't do this with any other item. Take advantage.

* The automatic cutter cuts basically everything else into roughly 10g pieces, give or take 5-15g. It varies that wildly because of irregular shapes; if you put something rectangular into it, like a rectangular block of feta, the pieces come out more or less uniform size.

* Given that, if a recipe only calls for a certain amount of a cut ingredient and not a specific size, you can just put them in the automatic cutter and pick out enough pieces that add up to what you need. For example, the hamburger calls for 25g of cheddar, and 20g each of tomato and onion, but it doesn't care if they're one piece or not, or what shape they are, so just cut them all in the automatic cutter then pick out a couple of 10g pieces of tomato and onion and enough pieces of cheese to add up to about 25g. You don't need to waste time trying to cut a perfect 25g flat slice of cheddar. I just serve the hamburger in a bowl. It looks terrible but it gets 5 stars every time.

To be honest cutting is the only thing holding this game back from being great, even 2 years later.
