Picking up cut duck?

After I slice up the duck for that one recipe I have to use tongs to pick up each piece and it's really slow b/c I'm horrible at using them. I've gotten a little better but is there no better way to pick up duck? I can pick it up fine until I slice it, half my work on that recipe is trying to get the duck into the bowl lol

Yeah I try picking it up with my hands but theres a little x over it (I have the perk where i can pick up hot food). Same happens when I try to use a bowl or plate to pick it up. I can pick up every other item fine tho, whether hot or not. I feel like maybe its a glitch but just wanted to see if I'm maybe doing something wrong?
