Career Mode: Modern Kitchen Issues

I restarted my game which wasn't very far and was doing quite well in this kitchen despite the slightly odd setup for the larger screen in the center! But as I proceeded I started to have trouble, chicken wings when added to my menu never appeared in the fridge anywhere or anywhere else in the kitchen! I searched avidly and couldn't find them! Same thing with bananas which I thought was odd. I played through thinking they would appear but no so I actually had to order in bulk in the prep phase in order to be able to cook. I could only find them in the box! (market thing) Same with bananas! But then in the middle and towards the end of a very tough service, I went to my grill and it no longer turned on, this coupled with everything else I'm just deciding to restart once more and go into the classic kitchen style again :( I like the other kitchen it's pretty! Hoping to see the same issues or, to figure out if perhaps it was an issue with the other kitchen! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated for the bananas and chicken wings! Where are they? :( not in the drawers and not anywhere in the fridge that I could see! All meat except for chicken wings and all fruit/veg except bananas!

Chicnen wings and bananas don't have spawners in the modern kitchen.
Chicken wings can be bought at any time using the cardboard box as long as you have unlocked required recipes.
Bananas are only available in sandbox mode as they are not used in any recipes.

I am now playing the classic kitchen in career mode and I have a lemon tart that uses bananas! I haven't made one yet so I'm not sure! Is it a glitch or will it not work? Should I avoid that recipe since it's not supposed to be in! I'm curious :)

Oh, yes. Some Food Network only recipes use bananas. Anyway, they can be bought at anytime using the cardboards :)
