Borscht - Onions burn before everything finishes cooking
Not entirely sure what I am doing wrong, but the onions tend to burn before the other ingredients finish cooking. I put in the chicken stock, spices, all the veggies, stick it on the stove and turn it on. Watching the stuff cook (in sandbox mode) and the onions made it all the way to the right first and all the other veggies were still in various states of rawness. By the time the last veggie got fully cooked the onions were burnt.

It doesn't matter if it's burnt as they are only included to add flavor. You don't serve the onion to the customer.
for that recipe thats right, but when you have different ingredients with other values till they are donel, you have to smash them later in pot. for that only soup is needed and dont mix it.

It's easier to get the timing right if you pull ingredients that cook faster out early, rather than throw them in late. This makes the chicken and pumpkin stew easier.

Well it does not effect the rating... it happened to me and I still got 5 stars.
I even served the same soup the next day and got 5 stars

Yeah, it doesn't matter so much for the borscht where you're not actually serving the onions, but it helps for dishes where you do actually serve the faster-cooking items.
