Grill not working after repair.

So I've been playing the game on and off for a while. After getting to 3 stars I learned that I need to repair things. (I didn't know the weird uncleanable stains meant I needed to repair something.) But I looked up how to do it for the grill since it broke all the way. However, after using the quickest repair service the thing looks just fine, but won't turn on.

When I scroll my mouse over the on/off switch it gives me a red X over the icon. It was fixed, I was charged for it, it looks brand new, and yet I cannot use it. I tried using the griddle and received heating mistakes on the grading card. After the grill stopped working suddenly a lot of my techniques for cutting things were incorrect and cost me fame points.

I've noticed a similar forum that I can only find on Google though it was another example of the person describing their problem followed by a lot of "Me too"s. Restarting the game and/or the computer does not fix the issue. Only starting a new game gets rid of it.

Is there an alternative to this method? I'd like to know for future reference.

I am also getting this bug and it's preventing me from being able to complete some recipes (for example, the T-Bone Steak is too large to cook properly in a grill pan). No amount of restarting seems to fix it for me either.

Use the grill pan on the regular stove

Yeah. I've gotten this same bug. After restarting the game it seems to have fixed itself. Thanks for the tip of the grill pan on the stove.
