Sushi DLC is the most APPALLING thing I've ever played...
I haven't been this angry in a long time. My history with Cooking Simulator has already been rocky; the main game was too stressful and unwieldy, the Cake DLC was a disaster, but the Pizza DLC was absolutely fantastic—at least until the last quarter of the game. At that point, the game just stopped working properly, nothing could be completed, and achievements didn't work. It's still not fixed to this day. So, my enthusiasm was already low, but when I saw that there was a Sushi DLC, I had to give it a chance. I love sushi endlessly, and I hoped it would be at least as fun as the Pizza DLC.

But what I got was MORE than just a disaster. The game is in an APPALLING state. How can a DLC like this come out after 5 years of the main game?

- Absolutely nothing is explained properly; you have to painstakingly figure everything out through (partly incorrect) mini-videos (where are the proper tutorials? Too much effort?)
Fried dishes get stuck in the basket and won't come out (why not just make an animation for that?)
- All dishes fall through the countertops and disappear into the void
- Rice placed in the rice cooker disappears before you can add water
- After animations (like stirring), objects and dishes (rice) just fly across the room
- Orders can't be placed at the customer
- Orders placed at the customer are not accepted when you activate the flag

...and I could go on for a LONG time, and that's with just 3 hours of gameplay. If you think I'm making this up, I streamed the entire disaster, and if any of the devs need proof or anything, no problem, I have tons of clips of everything that happened.

But the worst, and really THE reason why I'm furious and have NO sympathy for any devs anymore:

For the dish “Tamagoyaki,” the recipe requires (according to list):

5g Salt
15g Sugar
30ml Dashi Broth
10ml Mirin
10ml Dark Soy Sauce
Then you're supposed to heat the pan with sunflower oil, fry the mixture, form the fried Tamagoyaki on the bamboo mat, and then serve it.

In this ONE SIMPLE DISH, there are 4 (!!!!) mistakes.

There is NO salt in the Sushi DLC.
It's not dark soy sauce but LIGHT soy sauce.
There is NO sunflower oil in the Sushi DLC.
The fried Tamagoyaki is NOT rolled on the bamboo mat.

How can there be 4 mistakes in a 200-character recipe? I checked, the errors are in all languages. The ingredients list is correct, but in the tutorial explanation on how to make the dish, EVERYTHING is wrong. How can this happen? How can this be released? How can you charge money for this?

I've experienced a lot in my 30-year gaming history, but I've never encountered such an outrage.

I am unspeakably disappointed, and the DLC is the WORST possible advertisement for the upcoming second part, which I have no interest in anymore, just because of this DLC. How can it get better if in mid-2024, 5 years after the main game's release, such garbage is put out?

I'm done.

I was really looking forward to this and it's a total disaster.

I agree with you absolutely!
That's exactly what happened to me too.
No salt and no oil available!
Tutorial - none!!!
This is so bad, you actually have to get money to play it!!!

Can you make tamagoyaki nigiri correctly? When I put tamagoyaki on the rice ball, it cant recognize as tamagoyaki nigiri.:steamfacepalm:

Tempura-Batter seems to need ice cubes. Customers complain when there are no ice cubes in the batter - i cannot find ice cubes!

I absolutely agree. It's a disappointment

Yeah, screw these developers. They refuse to fix simple stuff like broken keybinds (you can't rebind the separate dough action in Pizza, for example). All of their DLCs have this issue.

They refuse to offer support on their discord and respond super passive aggressively to complaints.

Shame, the base game was a gem, and each DLC just made it worse. They're just scummy. Not buying the sequel.

I am really glad I did not waste $9 on this. Hopefully they fix it and make it better.

I agree with everything you said too. This DLC is really infuriating.
There's no tutorial, rice that disappears randomly, and food flies everywhere. Sometimes your rice is on the table, but the game keeps showing you "no rice."
You can't use the cutting machine when ingredients are in the bowl but the PIZZA can! When the wrong ingredients are used in sushi, even passersby who like some of the ingredients won't buy it. It's such a ridiculous setting.
And the damn Tamagoyaki.
It's laughable. It's hard to believe this DLC came out after Pizza. It's nowhere near as good as Pizza. I patiently played for 10 hours, and running the sushi restaurant was somewhat interesting. But after the rice disappeared for the fourth time, I couldn't take it anymore. I never want to open this DLC again.
By the way, the cleaning wand hasn't worked once in the 10 hours I've played. And I suspect there might be some issues with the left and right channels of some game sound effects.
I'm not an English player so my choice of words may differ from the original English text, but this DLC is so bad that I have to curse about it.:steamthumbsdown:

You have to write negative reviews here on Steam, it's the only way to sanction devs for their "scams"

Sales are very dependant on reviews, when a game has red negative reviews it won't sell well, and devs will have to do something.

You know what you have to do.
It isn't acceptable to sell a DLC in this state, and it isn't the first time they do that.

Ice isn't appearing for some of us at all, me included. Thankfully the recipe still works without the ice. Wish they'd fix this. :\

Yep, I asked nicely for years and the only time they responded is when I started blasting them with negative reviews.
