No actual tutorial for Sushi DLC? Disappointing.
There are plenty of videos, but no actual "how things work" tutorial like every other mode. I had to blunder around and reload several times before I figured out what I was doing, and sandbox mode didn't really help, since it already has everything unlocked. (Also it would be nice if you could choose which recipes got unlocked, or even if they only got unlocked at end of day, having new stuff pop up in the middle of the day and needing to stop and prep new ingredients is annoying.)

Yeah I agree. The lack of a tutorial which all the previous dlcs have, is a pretty big let down.

There is a tutorial via one of the apps in video form but it doesn't explain things the best.

To use the avocado rolls as an example, you start with half a sheet of nori (press E with it in your hand to split it in half, the only thing that tells you this is the button prompts on the screen), add 3 blobs of rice, spread it, then one row of avocado pieces, and roll. Then cut into fourths, using the strings on the rolling mat as a guide.

Also, "optional extras" means wasabi (grind it with the wasabi grinder, which you have to order, then scoop it up with a bowl) or ginger (once you unlock it, it comes in jars with a bunch of pre-measured lumps in them, you just put one in a bowl.)

Thank you! i thought i was going insane - the lack of an actual step by step tutorial like the others really is a let down

Anybody knows how to do fried mackerelle fillet for sashimi?

Dump a whole mackerelle fillet in the fryer basket. Fill and turn on and wait for the mackerelle bar to fill. Turn off fryer. It's easier to pick up by taking the cutting board and then clicking on the cooked fillet. Then just cut the cooked fish.

I'm having the same issue. Recipe requiring ice but no ice to be found
Same.... But I was able to mix everything together without the ice and it still registers as "smooth tempura." I wasn't able to serve it in time trying to figure it all out, but I made the roll and it still says it's an Ebi Maki. ...So is the ice optional or a phantom like salt? (Salt is listed in the instructions but not ingredients for tamagoyaki and not actually an available item as far as I've seen.)

Thanks for the tip! I have no idea, but the ice is actually visible in the tutorial video sequences on the phone?! 😭 lol
