Is this game dead?
Okay, so... I wanted to start a debate on this game's life. So, it's time to answer the age-old question: Is this game dead? (I will be picking the most agreeable and sensible argument for the answer)
Personally, I believe it's dead. Barely any major updates have come out in a while.

like, what? Are games supposed to be supported forever? Especially a single player one?

Game don't die as they weren't alive to begin with.

Next.

When will you announce the winner of the contest?
"I will be picking the most agreeable and sensible argument for the answer"

When will the contest end and until when do we have to leave our agreeable comments?

I agree with you.

Is every single game on the store expected to be a live service?

You can find this question on every thread on every game forum.

Content-wise they seem to be done adding to it unless there are more dlcs later. Fix-wise the game still has major bugs that have been there since it first launched that folks are still posting about. For that, yes, it seems to have been abandoned or, at least, put on the back burner. Way in the back.

single player games don't "die". Dead games are multiplayer focused games that have lost so much of their playerbases that their main function, namely multiplayer, is effectively unplayable. I can turn on single-player game that nobody has played in 20 years and its main function, the single-player game/campaign, will be functional.

IMO a "dead game" is one that developers still earn revenue off the base game and DLC's but will not fix existing bugs. Personally I will not add more to their coffers for DLC's if they are not willing to fix existing bugs so in that sense the game is dead to me.
