I think I'm in trouble (Mop bug)

So, during the cleaning phase, I tried to pick up the mop to clean the soup I spilled on the floor, but the mop just glitched out somewhere making a horrible racket, and then silence, and the mop is nowhere to be seen!
I tried reloading the game, and even a previous save (The only other one I had, which was autosave, and this is why I'm in trouble.) but the mop is no longer in it's holder or anywhere for that matter!
Is there a way to add it back somehow? You can't buy this from the store like with the sponge. Are console commands allowed for this problem? Do I really have to restart the whole game from scratch?? I've already done so much, it never ocured to me to make multiple saves!
Please help, I'd appreciate it... :<

I literally just gave up trying to fix it. I started a new game now.
This is happening to a lot of people and so far, there is no fix. The devs need to either fix this in an update, or have the ability to buy a new mop through the shop or the phone.
Using the Magic wand voids the need to use the mop or sponge, but it takes away the immersion.

I just noticed you can use the sponge on the floor. It's a bit slower but it's better than nothing haha. I'm also starting over because I just accidentally destroyed about $300 worth of bottles of cooking liquid from moving too quick with the spatula lmao
