Suggestion mega thread
There are a bunch of suggestions floating around the forum and I thought it would be easier to keep them all boosted by making a single thread for all of the major ones. Feel free to add anything I might have missed and add the numbers next to suggestions to your post so the devs can see what you want to see in game. If something in the thread gets popular I will add it to my post to give it a number. (if 3 people +1 a suggestion I will add it to this list)

[Shelter]

Add the pipette to other game modes (done as of March 30th 2022)

1 Add a hard mode/difficulty sliders.

A lot of people have found the shelter DLC way too easy and feel that keeping the kitchen stocked should be more of a challenge than other game modes. The addition of a hard mode or difficulty sliders the effect things like price per dish, animal respawn rate, starting money and food availability in the caravan would be a welcome addition.
Inspiration thread for sliders here. https://steamcommunity.com/app/641320/discussions/0/3193610542660440663/

2 Let us continue after the story finishes.

A few people have talked about enjoying the economic factor of the game mode and if a hard mode is added continuing after the finish of the story would definitely be a nice feature.

[Pizza]

3 Let us limit the menu and/or expand the kitchen

There are 10 sauces, 6 dough's and +100 topping variations when you include cut, grated and whole variations on ingredients. The pizza kitchen is simply too small to keep all of this handy with only 30 GN container slots and not a lot of counter space for dough. I really love this DLC but it would be nice if you had the same menu limiting options for it as the regular game mode so you don't have to keep running back and making ingredients during working time and can just focus on the pizzas. Alternatively or in addition a storage space for like 120 extra GN containers and 4-6 dough bins could be added to the kitchen to make management easier.

[Base Campaign]

4 Give us an option to remove timers (done as of March 30th 2022)

Later in the game mode it can be difficult to keep up with the huge number of dishs by yourself even with all of the time boosts. Some of us prefer a more relaxed experience but don't want to just use sandbox mode so having an option to turn the timers off would be nice.

[Meta]

5 Add multiplayer

This would be an amazing addition as chefs don't normally cook alone and it would be fun to be able to play with friends. Due to the amount of effort it would be to implement this I think most people would be ok with this being a payed DLC if that is required for it to happen.
(devs have said they are considering this one but the more people ask for it the more likely it is to happen)

6 Cutting preview

Cutting is one of the hardest things in game as there is no way to know exactly how much of an ingredient a cut will produce. Adding a preview that shows how much each half will be would make cutting MUCH easier and greatly reduce waste.

7 Fantasy & Sci fi DLC
(devs have said this might be in the works)

[Cakes & Cookies]

8 ingredient amount recommendations

It would be nice to have some idea of how much of an ingredient is enough when not following one of the preset recipes as currently there is not really a way to tell how much is needed. It would be nice if a function was added to the recipe app that you can simply list the ingredients you want to use, cooking method and how much dough you want to make (it may make sense to do this as a few general presets by pan type rather than exact to avoid strange ingredient amounts) and it will tell you how much of each ingredient to add and when to add it in the process as well as the best mixing attachment to use.

9 Unlimited time option
One of the best things about the pizza DLC is how you have unlimited prep time and the day length with this DLC feels really arbitrary and does not really add much to the experience. It would be nice to be able to turn it off.

Can this get a pin from the devs please?

To the base game, add more restaurant management features outside the kitchen. Let me design the dining room, manage staff, deal with random events like supply chain issues. Something to actually do with your money.

I feel like the amount of stuff that would need to be added here would require this to be a DLC.

This has been actually requested in another post, but someone had the idea of a pipete or something of the sort for making drizzling oil easier. I would love to see that! Right now, drizzling consists of just holding the bottle over the dish, and at least I always make a mess and often overpour the required amount of oil, lowering my score.

I also second the cutting preview one. Cutting things like the bread, or the Christmas ham can be a pain in the butt to get right, especially with that timer ticking. It's just as frustrating when you're doing it during the prep/cleanup phases, since you still have a timer ticking until the day starts or ends...

Saw the thread you mentioned with the pipette and it is mentioned at the top of the list that a dev said it is planned to add to game modes other than shelter eventually.

That's fine with me. I think they need to spend more time on the base game in general. Bug fixes and new recipes are sorely needed, but aside from those managing the restaurant is the next logical step. As it is the game gets fairly boring by day 30 and there is no challenge in managing your money, fame, or cook points.

Yea, the pizza DLC is really not thought out at all. All they have to do is simply add a menu choice like in the regular game with events. I literally have all the counter space filled with containers.

I would love to see a sushi expansion for the game.

This would actually be an amazing idea. It really would help the time management and make t he game more fun for sure. I really enjoyed using the Pipette to drizzle in shelter, very helpful tool.

Hey guys, I love cooking sim but have a lot of suggestions for the game.

1) Let us play the different DLCs in one resturaunt. (You'd have to own all the DLC's to unlock this feature tho)

2) The option to choose between the phone and computer method of managing stuff because I don't like the phone for some reason. I prefer the TV and Computer because it's more realistic. Who carries around a phone with them while they're cooking?

3) A perk that shows you where an ingredient is when you tap on it in the recipe. This is more useful when you get later in the game an have to search thru a billion spices for the one you want. You could highliht the ingredient or make a path to it like in the tutorial.

4) The option to unlock recipes for free in career mode. Eventually, you get bored making all the same things over and over for the first 5 days or so. Or just remove the cooking points thing in the option.

AND/OR

4.5) The ability to have people order food without you choosing it. Basically like in career mode but you have all the recipes and money...

5) The ability to move the radio and the computer. Just a quality of like thing. Especially the radio, since I spend most of my time over by the stove, the radio's always really quite compared to the sizzling and what not.

6) Instead of soups or other liquids burning, they should begin to evaporate. So you lose 1mL of stuff for every second it is burning for example.

7) Consistent styles for all the DLC's. (especially if they do number 1, although if not then it's not a huge deal, but still)

8) Adding Cooking School Tutorials for the pizza, shelter, and cakes and cookies DLCs (plus any future ones) Stuff like icing cakes and making sauces and doughs would be a nice consistency change as well as useful for new players

9) A special place for contest plaques or fame statues etc. Maybe a wall or designated table with a list of all the awards you could get.

Thanks for listening to my 'rant'. Hopefully they implement some of these cus that woud be amazing. :)

Oh, and also:
The ability to design your own recipes and kitchen, and a mode like the sandbox mode but you can just make whatever you want and serve it to customers, and the ratings are based off what generally makes a good dish (obviously that would hard to implement so just an idea)
