Cookies and Cakes seems horribly unfinished
You can't seem to make your own fillings, or buy them, full stop. There's no explanation of how to color your icing or the pastry decorator (I poured an entire bottle of pink dye into that and guess what, only white icing came out?) Also even with the unbreakable bottle perk, after I dyed something my character smashed the glass on the wall like I was at a Greek wedding.

I know that there's a lot of things you CAN buy, that you CAN'T buy. I can go to my shelf, see chocolate custard, buy the product there.. But there's no fillings in the store. Are there literally only three fillings? Coconut Cream/Blueberry/Chocolate Custard? Must be, because you can't buy anything else including a refill of those!

Everything reeks of being unfinished, you can't do half of your custom orders because you can't find any way to buy things besides what you're given, aside from the paltry 20-30 ingredients in Cooking Bay half of which are all just dyes.

I loved the base game, and the christmas cooking sandbox, but this is just.. so far beyond disappointing that it's genuinely frustrating.

For people who will inevitably say that I haven't tried or looked hard enough, I've spent two hours stumbling around desperately before I had to give up because it's just absurd and the only things that come up on google are advertisements for this rather than useful articles or helpful guides.

Do you expect google to provide any articles regarding a DLC that came out yesterday?
Those articles pop up because people ask about something on a website, and others reply.

You can buy everything you need to complete the costum orders. What is it you were looking for?

Yes, I do, if I'm specifically looking up "how to" items that seem like they should be the first stuff introduced in the DLC - Especially if I'm getting results returned in the actual steam discussions about other people being just as lost as I am. Many other games, like the Skyrim DLCs/Fallout 4/Bioshock Infinite/Even Green Hell had bare bones guides up in that time frame.

Like I said in my original post, I can't buy *anything* that isn't the basic stuff, all of the dyes, four "dummy dough" objects, and the basic shakers of baking powder/sugar/ginger etc. I can't refill or replace filling jars, except for chocolate custard, there's absolutely nothing useful I can buy that isn't a baking tray.

It took me forever to figure this out, but in order to buy more fillings & a lot of the liquids, you have to click one of the empty shelves (for example, the one next to the lemon juice). I even had some trouble with things after enabling the tutorial & following it. I'm also having a ridiculous amount of issues with special orders. I had one yesterday that requested #sweet, 20 servings, & a boy (what does that even mean?!). So I made a chocolate cake, blue icing, with a boy figurine & sports balls on top. The review was the cake was horrible. What?! There needs to be far more instruction for getting started in my opinion.

The custom orders don't work, I'll give you that. So far I've done 5, and only got paid for 2. Which still got angry emojis. It would be nice if they at least showed what was wrong

You're kidding? What was wrong with the empty box system of the base game, it's way more intuitive than an empty shelf or an app that omits every ingredient.

I've seen posts where people have perfectly followed the requirements for custom orders regarding layer/serving size/ingredients and still got a failed ranking while the devs said if they really cooked what they claim to have it should've been perfect. Seems like there's a big error with the custom orders right now.

I agree with you it's such a shame. I can't figure out how to make those fillings in the jars, you can only fill from the jars it seem so how on earth do you get more?

According to Electrila you have to click on an empty ingredient shelf like the one next to your lemon juice bottles near the oven. The game tells you this nowhere.

I definitely agree, the ordering process is complicated. I'm starting to understand it a bit more just from going around & clicking literally everything, but it would definitely be more streamlined to be able to order everything from your app. I get what the devs are trying to do by separating ingredients based on where they go in the kitchen, but it's confusing. My best suggestion is enable the tutorial when you start a game & anytime the little pink dude pops up asking if you'd like to know more about *insert whatever*, click T to see it. However, even the tutorial leaves a lot to be desired. Good luck!

I did use the tutorial is the sad thing, it didn't explain anything. Most of the press T for more information were just summaries of the action in question and not a guide. Like "You need to use the pastry filler to fill pastries", well thanks how do I fill it and where do I get the fillings? It wasn't very helpful and also people hated all of my pastries.. I tried to improvise a citrus recipe and ended up making soup by putting in an entire orange into the dough that was already mixed

Personally didn't find out yet how to mold dough back into no-form once shaped by a form, only to throw into bin and make new one. Or taken from a form, I can do nothing with anymore as far as I tried. Would love flat pan too.
