You can buy everything you need to complete the costum orders. What is it you were looking for?
Yes, I do, if I'm specifically looking up "how to" items that seem like they should be the first stuff introduced in the DLC - Especially if I'm getting results returned in the actual steam discussions about other people being just as lost as I am. Many other games, like the Skyrim DLCs/Fallout 4/Bioshock Infinite/Even Green Hell had bare bones guides up in that time frame.
Like I said in my original post, I can't buy *anything* that isn't the basic stuff, all of the dyes, four "dummy dough" objects, and the basic shakers of baking powder/sugar/ginger etc. I can't refill or replace filling jars, except for chocolate custard, there's absolutely nothing useful I can buy that isn't a baking tray.
It took me forever to figure this out, but in order to buy more fillings & a lot of the liquids, you have to click one of the empty shelves (for example, the one next to the lemon juice). I even had some trouble with things after enabling the tutorial & following it. I'm also having a ridiculous amount of issues with special orders. I had one yesterday that requested #sweet, 20 servings, & a boy (what does that even mean?!). So I made a chocolate cake, blue icing, with a boy figurine & sports balls on top. The review was the cake was horrible. What?! There needs to be far more instruction for getting started in my opinion.
You're kidding? What was wrong with the empty box system of the base game, it's way more intuitive than an empty shelf or an app that omits every ingredient.
I've seen posts where people have perfectly followed the requirements for custom orders regarding layer/serving size/ingredients and still got a failed ranking while the devs said if they really cooked what they claim to have it should've been perfect. Seems like there's a big error with the custom orders right now.
I definitely agree, the ordering process is complicated. I'm starting to understand it a bit more just from going around & clicking literally everything, but it would definitely be more streamlined to be able to order everything from your app. I get what the devs are trying to do by separating ingredients based on where they go in the kitchen, but it's confusing. My best suggestion is enable the tutorial when you start a game & anytime the little pink dude pops up asking if you'd like to know more about *insert whatever*, click T to see it. However, even the tutorial leaves a lot to be desired. Good luck!
I did use the tutorial is the sad thing, it didn't explain anything. Most of the press T for more information were just summaries of the action in question and not a guide. Like "You need to use the pastry filler to fill pastries", well thanks how do I fill it and where do I get the fillings? It wasn't very helpful and also people hated all of my pastries.. I tried to improvise a citrus recipe and ended up making soup by putting in an entire orange into the dough that was already mixed
