Can the recipes be used in real cooking?

That would actually be neat, It'd be like a cooking trainer......sort of.

Some dishes have preparation times different than in reality for gameplay purposes but in general, yeah, they can be used ;)

The recipes are based on real-life recipes, but you shouldn't try them at home, some measurements, especially time measurements are adjusted to fit the gameplay - it wouldn't be fun to sit around for several hours and wait. Most recipes in the game are designed to take between 5 and 10 minutes.

If the only difference is time required, maybe just add "real" time as a note? Like, bake for 3 minutes (30 minutes IRL).

Cool idea :) Probably we won't have the time to fit it into the UI before the release, but we'll definitely think about adding it post-launch :)

That would be really intreseting. Maybe even have it so that that the Steam Workshop allows people to upload their own recipes. Though I'm not sure what that would invovle coding wise.

As a cook myself, there aren't a lot of recipes that require hours to cook it unless it's a stock or you're curing something or marinade. I would love that idea of having a side note on the time. If so, this'll be my first simulator game ever.
